Subject: RE: Lyrics: SEND IN THE CLONES From: GUEST,guesT Date: 23 Feb 01 - 02:05 PM & then there was the scientist who cloned herself and sent the clone to work while she hung out. The flaw in the ointment was a minor glitch in the cloning--her clone had a filthy mouth. It finally got her in such trouble that she realized she'd have to get rid of the clone. But immediately after pushing her doppelganger off the bridge, she was arrested for "making an obscene clone fall" :) |
Subject: RE: Lyrics: SEND IN THE CLONES From: GUEST,Len Wallace Date: 23 Feb 01 - 01:37 PM Gee, I was just cloning around when I wrote this (the realized I sent the version with the mistakes). The Bridge should have been: Bridge: Myself and I would become "we" / Finally knowing the one that I wanted was me / Making two entrances with my usual flair / Betwixt and between - I'd always be there / And yes Clinton, I am me, myself and I. And sure Frank, I'm glad someone liked it. And Ellen, proved the advantage of cloning. I could cheat on my wife and not feel guilty because it's the other me. As for the clone and soul question, I guess if he/she had rythmn. |
Subject: RE: Lyrics: SEND IN THE CLONES From: Mark Cohen Date: 23 Feb 01 - 03:51 AM Ah, but that brings to mind the talking breakfast pastry who, when asked to keep quiet for a short time, replied indignantly, "Would a scone have a lull?" (Dreadfully sorry, Kendall, it just sort of popped out.) Aloha, Mark |
Subject: RE: Lyrics: SEND IN THE CLONES From: kendall Date: 22 Feb 01 - 07:24 PM Serious question. Would a clone have a soul? |

Subject: Lyrics: SEND IN THE CLONES From: GUEST,Len Wallace Date: 22 Feb 01 - 09:59 AM Seems a rather wealthy couple has now been influenced by a cultist doctor to do a cloning procedure. Send in the Clones words by Len Wallace tune: Send in the Clowns by Stephen Sondheim Isn't it great? Ain't I a pair? / I'm standing here on the ground and over there / Send in the clones. / Isn't it grand? Don't you approve? / I could then have my own cake and eat it too! / Where are the clones? Send in my clone / Bridge: Myself and then I would be we / Finally knowing the one that I wanted was me / Making two entrances with my usual flair / Betwixt and between - I'd always be there / But I gotta be rich, that part's so clear / I'd have the time of my lives plus two careers. / Where are the clones? I ought to be cloned / Well, maybe next year |
