I tis not "common" anywhere. I don't think anyone claimed it was. The language and art of media mongers of this caliber is to make things seem as overblown and electrifying as possible so you will be enthralled. That's where their revenues come from. The more enthralled readers, the more advertising bucks they get. Enthralled means you don't wake up and notice what the fuck they are doing with their weird language tricks.

Not all journalists are doing this, but unfortunately too many are.

Yes Brucie, John Walsh came to our attention when his young son was kidnapped from a Sears store while shopping with his Mom. The poor child was tortured & murdered. He has honored his son's memory by helping get certain laws passed relative to kidnapping. He then went on to "America's Most Wanted." Currently, he also has a talk show - mostly dealing with social issues.

There is a tale of a female ninja (in Japan about lots and lotsa years ago) who contracted the pox intentionally so that she could infect her victim who foolishly insisted on sleeping with her. She did; he did. She thought it; he got it; they bought it.

I realize the overall statistics seem to be going up again but I do not believe this sort of insanity is the primary cause. These are very over-burdened, irrational people who may feel they have no choice but to dramatize like mad. Anyway I would be interested to hear what their actual numbers are.

John Walsh's subject this am was so disturbing & unreal, I'm wondering what you all think. It seems there are many in the gay community who view aids as a gift. Some seek people who have already contracted the disease. The internet is used to form clubs & have meetings arranged where patients are offered money to pass the disease on. Some people have purchased the blood of HIV patients.
One woman offered $2,500 to an HIV patient to have sex in the hope she could then pass it on to her husband. One Canadian man said he's been contacted by 6 men who want to date him & get "the gift."   

I realize there are sick people who want out of life-but it boggles the mind that this is their chosen way. Some want aids so that they don't have to worry about contracting it, they won't need condoms anymore. It's crazy! The statistics are going back to where they were years ago. What say you?
