Subject: RE: Where does the ship's dog... From: GUEST,KateG with an eaten cookie Date: 16 Jul 04 - 07:45 PM So the past tense was not shat, but sheet? Remind me never to take my dog sailing. However, must say that she's an excellent hiking/x-c skiing companion and she always goes well off the trail before leaving any deposits. Most civilized. |

Subject: RE: Where does the ship's dog... From: Charley Noble Date: 16 Jul 04 - 06:07 PM Children- From my early sea-faring days in the 1960's, sailing around the Bahamas, I learned where the ship's dog shit or shat as it were. Our resident dog Hank would, if a nearby tropical island were not available, seek out any coil of rope and there make his essential deposit. It raised "sheeting home the main" to a new level of stress and anxiety. Thanks for reminding me of this true story. Cheerily, Charley Noble |

From: Jeri Date: 16 Jul 04 - 01:16 PM ..said the Dorothy, the Handsome Cabin Boy, and the Wicked Witch of the West-mere-lands replied "whale pus the hound did bite," but nobody had a clue what she was talking about, which I quite understand. Subject: RE: Where does the ship's dog... From: Jeri Date: 16 Jul 04 - 01:04 PM I'll get you for this... I had an 'unanswered questions' song in my mind. Like: Where does the ship's dog shit? Tell me where does the ships dog shit? Does he poop in the poop? Does the first mate have a scoop So the sailors won't step in it? Oh will a cat-stopper stop a cat? Oh will a cat-stopper stop a cat? Do they swim o'er the brine and then climb up the line? And think "Darn. We can't get past that!" Does the foresail have a lot of play Or does it firm up at the dawn of day... I'm STOPPING NOW, you hear me? I'll get you for this... |

Subject: Where does the ship's dog... From: GUEST,blame Jeri! Date: 16 Jul 04 - 12:34 PM after the style of:'What does the Deep Sea say?' Chorus: Tell me, where does the ship's dog shit? Where does the ship's dog shit? Though immaculate in grooming when evacuation's looming into the head he doesn't fit. Rover was a good sailin' dog Well, Rover was a good sailin' dog He could smell the way to shore in the thickest bank of fog Rover was a good sailin' dog |
