Subject: RE: Tech: cd trainer From: pavane Date: 01 Apr 05 - 07:37 AM I found some similar software on a shareware disk I bought. The result didn't sound too good, but if it is only for learning the tune, that's not a problem. It also needed quite a powerful machine. Might take some time to find the disk and name of the software though. |

Subject: RE: Tech: cd trainer From: GUEST Date: 31 Mar 05 - 10:27 PM wow...there was a thread or more about this way way back... you'd have to do a search for it and I'm not even sure what you'd use for a keyword...but I do remember lots of 'Catters had suggestions. |

Subject: RE: Tech: cd trainer software From: Bill D Date: 31 Mar 05 - 03:29 PM There is a *free* CD/MP3 player that will do this....I just used it, and it worked fine. (but do NOT accidently tell it to load the files in an MP3 directory without selecting them, it gives a cascading error message)...just pick the one you want) SilentNight player (scroll down) |

Subject: RE: Tech: cd trainer software From: GUEST,MCP Date: 31 Mar 05 - 02:08 PM Slow Blast (see eg Slow Blast $26.99) does this. You click start and stop locs as the CD plays (on the computer) and you can then play the section back at a chosen percentage of real time. (I have a copy that came free with Finale I think). It appears to be a cheap version of Mick |
