Subject: RE: Agression From: John O'L Date: 15 Apr 05 - 05:14 AM I often wondered why the Scottish went into battle with bagpipes when they could have waltzed. The UK might have been ruled from Edinborough. |

Subject: RE: Agression From: John O'L Date: 14 Apr 05 - 09:37 PM I'm usually a pretty quiet laid-back kinda guy, but when I hear waltz music I just wanna break bones. Blue Danube - GRRR - Kill! |

Subject: RE: Agression From: GUEST Date: 14 Apr 05 - 02:51 PM Take your ideas about aggression and shove them where the sun don't shine. Who the heck are you accusing of being aggressive? If you don't like something too darned bad. |

Subject: RE: Agression From: GUEST,Monkhouse Date: 14 Apr 05 - 08:39 AM I always thought the definition of Waltz was 'That belonging to Walter' So perhaps he took exception to someone taking something which was Waltzes? Er... I'll get my coat. |

Subject: Agression From: fiddler Date: 14 Apr 05 - 06:13 AM I'm an old softie. I am becoming concerned about the amount of agression creeping in to the folk world (it has been present in many other worlds for a long time) Folk has alwyas been very laid back and relaxed. It is sad to see it going the same way as the rest of the world and we loose our little happy enclave. It has been very edident in a few Sidmouth threads recently, passionate views do not excuse bad behaviour! Recently I have been party to a dance group who are writing codes of conduct for behaviour (Adults!) AND The running club to which I belong had a fight (real fisticuffs) whilst we played a waltz a gig for them the other week! I have been a member for over 15 years off and on and never seen anything like it before! Andy thoughts anyone? BTW the banjo was saved undamaged, the young bad guy got damaged by the old fat good guy and to complete the trilogy we do not play waltzes any more!!!! Andy |
