As for me, I like to stir one part unsweetened cocoa into about 16-20 parts hot water, and drink it straight... Before you wince and go: "eeewww!" let me continue:

After I got over my expectation of sweetness, I realized it had no more bitterness, in this concentration, than unsweetened tea -- it was certainly much less bitter than black coffee without sugar.

Dark chocolate has twice the cocoa of milk chocolate.
Dove dark is a good buy for the creamiest qualities.
IMO Cadbury is the worst followed by other cheap Euoropean chocolate which is still too waxy much like Nestle.
Dove is as good as the most expensive chocolates although there are no delectable fillings.
Hershey (the 3 mile island chocolate) is sugary but the ones with almonds is good.

The Whitman Sampler dark collection is a new product that is superior to any previous Whitman sampler.

I better go to the store now.

Another good reason to eat chocolate, as if I need one.

It might fight cancer, but is no good if you have an allergy as I do to it. I get severe migraines from eating just the smallest amount of chocolate.
Maybe thats why I did get Cancer!!!!!

Teetotal Mama is theologically correct, scripturally grounded. The Bible says so.

St. Paul, in a letter to Timothy, said,

Drink no longer water, but take a little wine for thy health's sake, and thine often infirmity.

Dave Oesterreich, the theological oenological maven.

And Cannabis is said to be good for all kinds of stuff - as witness this English lady's experience - Grandma's cooking pot (The downside was she's now got a criminal record - "Patricia Tabram last week became a convicted drug dealer for serving casseroles and cakes laced with cannabis to her friends. But, as she tells Laura Barton, she's unrepentant - the drug has solved her health problems.")

Let the good times roll...

My mother, who is tea-total, recently *ordered* my sister and I to drink red wine Every Day. Mother is losing her sight to macular degeneration and heard on some documentary programme that red wine does something positive to stave off the condition. Who am I to argue?

I shall also make the supreme sacrifice and up my chocolate intake. Good thing I let my neighbour twist my arm to join up here.

In a UK National Newspaper on Tuesday, hidden away on an inside page was an article entitled "Chocolate helps fight cancer".

snip.... Eating chocolate could help beat cancer, according to university researchers. They found a chemical in cocoa that appears to stop the spread of tumour cells.
Professor Robert Dickson of Geogetown University in the US said "there are all kinds of chemicals in the food we eat that potentioally have effects on cancer cells. We found that a natural compound in chocolate may be one"
The researchers treated breast cancer cells with a purified form of the ingredient pentamer. Cells stopped dividing and several proteins which regulate their life cycles were also switched off.
Dr Dickenson said it was not clear how the pentamer works although it may be there is some kind of "master switch" that turns off the cell growth. He added that the results could also apply to other forms of cancer.    ....snip

Yeaa .. more good reasons to eat chocolate
