Subject: RE: BS: Great Book Title From: Ebbie Date: 07 May 05 - 03:56 PM Does this have a familiar ring? "You should only get AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome) and die, you pig. How's that?...You got nothing better than to put me down, you piece of garbage. You have got nothing to do today. Go eat a sausage and choke on it." (Michael Savage) "An article to be published in the August 2003 issue of FAIR's magazine Extra! documents numerous cases where Savage rails against the Jewishness of his political opponents: · Remarking that the "degenerate" Jerry Springer uses his "hooked nose" to make a living from talk shows. · Singling out progressives with Jewish-sounding names for mockery with an exaggerated New York accent; Savage even rails against an imaginary ACLU lawyer named "Mark Nobodyberg." · Routinely using Jewish ethnic references when criticizing Jewish public figures; Sen. Joe Lieberman is "throwing his bagel into the ring," Madeleine Albright was given a "Bat Mitzvah party" by North Korea, senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer are "yentas" and Dustin Hoffman talks like he has "matzah" in his mouth. · Contrasting George W. Bush's "high-powered WASPy lawyers" (12/10/03) with Al Gore's "curly-haired boys from NYU" (12/24/02): "I don't like little guys from NYU with big glasses.... You know what I'm saying?" "Savage himself was born into a Jewish family (and originally named Michael Weiner), but on-air and elsewhere, "his Jewish upbringing is strictly taboo," according to a Salon profile (3/5/03). Mark Potok, the editor of the Southern Poverty Law Center's Intelligence Report, told Extra!, "Whatever is in his head, he clearly makes statements that are anti-Semitic.... Savage operates in a milieu where it pays to be provocative and where his messages can reach Christian nationalists and anti-Semites." You Can Tell a Lot about a Guy From His Heroes |

Subject: RE: BS: Great Book Title From: Bunnahabhain Date: 07 May 05 - 01:05 PM Mein Kamph, and the little red book both sold well, as I remember. It takes more than sales and a snappy title to make a book, Martin. |

Subject: RE: BS: Great Book Title From: Joe Offer Date: 07 May 05 - 02:44 AM My 90-year-old mother-in-law lives with us, and one of her chief pasttimes is listening to talk radio, particularly Mike Savage. I've listened a few times and can't stand the guy - Rush Limbaugh, but with fewer manners. So my mother-in-law often tsk-tsk's me and shakes her head, telling me what a liberal I am. If I want to get her in a tizzy, all I have to do is say, "Hillary." Hey, I thought I was a "radical moderate," which means I think my own faults and don't make anybody happy. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: BS: Great Book Title From: Alba Date: 06 May 05 - 07:43 AM "When there is nothing else you can say, why not just rip someone's appearance?" Why not....it's not like getting personal about people is something you haven't done on occasion when you have nothing else to say Martin:>) "Sounds like some kind of mental disorder." Sure does. Someone obsessed enough about an opposing view that they write a Book with this title and worse makes money when some folks actually buy into it. Yes I agree is some kind of mental disorder. The term paranoia comes to mind. As to Michael Savages appearance. Well he looks like a dodgy Magician to me..LOL...that's what happens when you host radio and no-one can see you... Bad wig though but the "Just for Men" seems to be working on the beardy thing.. Blessings to all Jude aka Liberal whore, aka Sister Nailgun of Humanitatrianism |
