I'm always called aside for the pat down when I pass through U.S. customs at the airport. Last time I looked around at the others who had been randomly selected and realized that they were old ladies like me. It finally dawned on me that they were 'just doing their job' and that they would rather search and find nothing than to have to confront someone that might actually be in possession of something dangerous. How much do they get paid?

I wonder when her last public subway trip was or will ever be.

Here in the US it is all London terrorism with a few dashes of making the Patriot Act permanent thrown in for good measure.

On MSNBC they have a typical blonde bimbo conservative talking head who distorts every single bit of coverage. For example when a witness to the second dud bombing spoke with great passion of the panic and terror that he witnessed and felt, the bimbo Cristina Crowley responded by saying how calm and courageous all Londoners have been.

The CNN and FOX panic propoganda is running as hot and heavy as I have seen it.
Downtown DC subays are now full of armed guards - all standing around talking to each other.

Now that NY (and soon DC) transit riders are FREE to be kicked off the transit system if they refuse to be searched, it is good to know that Mrs. Cheney is willing to be searched.
