thanks Al - yeh I thnk songwriting is a bit different fromn writing poetry. I think it was Stephen Sondheim, pointed out that Oh what a beautiful morning is a very cliched thing to say - any creative writing teacher would pounce on it. but as the opening line of Oklahoma - it's magic, both musically and theatrically.
looking forward to seeing your set too. Enjoyed the album immensely - but i already told you that!

I was more than a bit cheesed off with the results of the Iraqi election. Annoyed that we seem to have sacrificed young American and British – and Iraqi lives, to give power to a load of head loppers and hand choppers. Thus the song:-
