Subject: RE: BS: Mr Bush and Blair by WLdrummer From: Big Al Whittle Date: 06 Nov 05 - 07:51 AM thanks Al - yeh I thnk songwriting is a bit different fromn writing poetry. I think it was Stephen Sondheim, pointed out that Oh what a beautiful morning is a very cliched thing to say - any creative writing teacher would pounce on it. but as the opening line of Oklahoma - it's magic, both musically and theatrically. looking forward to seeing your set too. Enjoyed the album immensely - but i already told you that! al |

Subject: BS: Mr Bush and Blair by WLdrummer From: Big Al Whittle Date: 06 Nov 05 - 06:11 AM I was more than a bit cheesed off with the results of the Iraqi election. Annoyed that we seem to have sacrificed young American and British – and Iraqi lives, to give power to a load of head loppers and hand choppers. Thus the song:- Oh haven't Mr Bush and Blair done great! (Didn't think it would appreciated in the music section - more you guys cup of tea!) Chorus Oh I know its a bit of a sod But you have offended God So you're gonna get your hand chopped off mate It's called Shariah Law And you're going to get what for Oh haven't Mr Bush and Blair done great! Well it was only the littlest while That the tanks come rolling in And with them, they brought democracy But Iraqi folk were bonkers They all voted for plonkers Very different from you an me Voting for George, voting for Tony Chorus Oh I know its a bit of a sod But you have offended God So you're gonna get your arm chopped off mate It's called Shariah Law And you're going to get what for Oh haven't Mr Bush and Blair done great! Nowadays I think you'll find That the woman should walk behind And you don't want to inflame me – showing off your hair So never mind up the workers All you women start wearing burkahs Don't get in the dumps! Don't be chumps! Just get in the mood and wave your stumps! Chorus Oh I know its a bit of a sod But you have offended God So you're gonna get your head chopped off mate It's called Shariah Law And you're going to get what for Oh haven't Mr Bush and Blair done great! So thankyou Geoge and Tony For starting this 'ere ruction Giving us all a laugh – with tales of weapons of mass destruction You've both made life much fuller For one or two mad mullahs I can hardly wait for Iraq's re- entry To the middle of the 14th century ©bigalwhittle 03/11/2005 11:59 to hear it http://bigalwhittle.co.uk/id6.html |
