Subject: RE: BS: Tremendous Victory From: Bill D Date: 20 Dec 05 - 09:23 PM Morales may represent a populist victory for a native Bolivian, but he doesn't impress me as a guy I'd trust to represent the best interests of the country....he's already making inflammatory statements about the US and sounding pretty obnoxious. (remember, Fidel Castro represented a 'populist victory' once..) |

Subject: RE: BS: Tremendous Victory From: Donuel Date: 20 Dec 05 - 06:33 AM As Oddball said in Kelly's Hero's "whats with all the negative vibes, sheesh" In this era where the CIA has only one conclusive win* in Haiti I think Bolivia has a chance. * Yes I think that Afghanistan and Iraq are overt CIA fiascos. Of course it always depends upon how you measure success. |

Subject: RE: BS: Tremendous Victory From: GUEST,Hu Flung Dung Date: 20 Dec 05 - 05:35 AM Isn`t it amazing, the great benevolent USA gets another kick up the marbles as Bolivia prepares to elect for the first time a true native Bolivian. Evo Morales would need to look to his back as the CIA are most likely preparing a murder squad to take this DEMOCRATICALLY elected President out, any means will do, their bloodied hands have been active for years in latin America. |

Subject: RE: BS: Tremendous Victory From: alanabit Date: 20 Dec 05 - 02:14 AM Sure. After all, who are Bolivians to start interfering in the selection of their own government? |

Subject: RE: BS: Tremendous Victory From: Peace Date: 19 Dec 05 - 08:50 PM Wonder if the CIA will have any special projects in Bolivia soon? |

Subject: RE: BS: Tremendous Victory From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 19 Dec 05 - 08:46 PM "The populist candidate of the indigenous people of Bolivia won the Presidency." Donuel, I think you got it wrong... "The evil Communist conspiracy in Bolivia has again temporarily triumphed over the forces of Democracy led by the USA. As you President, I pledge to undermine the deceitfully elected dictators and introduce real US style Democracy" Woops, that's the old one, Communism, isn't it? Ah let me see now - Terrorists, ok, I'll rewrite it... |

Subject: BS: Tremendous Victory From: Donuel Date: 19 Dec 05 - 08:49 AM The populist candidate of the indiginous people of Bolivia won the Presidency. US democracy should borrow a page from Bolivia. Standardized voting law virtually everywhere except the US which allows each seperate state/province to have authority in interpreting the vote. ie Florida's Katherine Harris being able to deny a recount. US democracy should borrow a page from the rest of the world. Bush mired in a losing war has fired dissenting generals and now calls Americans defeatists in despair. He borrowed a page from a losing Hitler. ..... In the recent revelations, I see reason for hope that a victory for a democracy for the people and a defeat of the neocon fascist imperialism of the past. As China becomes a permissive and advanced society with the #1 GNP in 12 years and the US no long can claim to be the #1 World power there will be those who will try to reclaim the "good old days" but the people who honor true democracy and the true meaning of our Constitution will prevail. The pendulum is nearly stopped and about to swing back in favor of a goverment by the people. Instead of folk songs merely decrying oppression and injustice we need songs of great hope celebration and tremendous victory to hearald the new days coming. |
