I saw that programme too... did you not see the hamster featured in another clip?

Little girl is obviously very upset that her hamster cage is empty and her little pet gone. She phones her daddy who is on his way to work in a super duper car, speeding down the autobahn. Daddy is presumably sympathetic on the phone and then speeds up. Cut to hamster running inside the car wheel.....

Just seen a snatch of film, on the telly, from the 50s, I think.
The clip starts with a girl, standing in a front garden, whirling a hula-hoop (remember those?)around her waist. It then switches to the back garden where an Alsatian dog is depicted whirling the metal rim of a bicycle wheel around its neck! The plummy voice of the announcer states that the dog had taught itself this trick (presumably in an attempt to imitate the girl)!
I'm sorry that this story does not involve hamsters ...

Flash forward to the day Aochan turns around and, in an apparently random moment, gulps down Gohan.
Gohan: (From inside, with his dying breath) "Aoch, how could you do that; I thought we were buddies!"
Aochan: "Oh, we are, we are...but, like, y'know...

Ya know, there's a WHOLE lot we don't know about the minds of our 'dumb' friends. Did you see the story and pictures of the baby hippo and the huge tortoise?

What was that about cross-breeding in that article?
So what exactly are the possibilities of seeing a hamake or a snamster?

Yes, Carol, I found that one interesting when I read it the other day while browsing the BBC news site - definately a good day for that hamster! I found this link from that article about a lioness adopting not one but 3 (one after the other) a couple or more years ago even weirder.

i tried to find another hamster thread to add this to
i found for of them but they all had been closed
I fear this a case of blatant hamsterism?

any way this story is actully not so sad
the little critter was put in the post box
but was discovered and rescued and the
culprits aprehended and fined..
what a lot of hamster chow
can be had for 500 and 750
pounds (sterling)

this good news after hearing earlier today about a whale
that died after being pulled out of the Thames..
