He already has convictions for exposing himself. Maybe she remarked on what she saw, who knows. He should have taken a firm hold of himself. Sounds like a cock up to me.

It's the Columbine incident all over again, but with different motive or excuse in the perpetrator's disturbed brain, and (thankfully) fewer victims.

As with Columbine, little could have been done to forestall the motive - every day, diseased minds conjure up such "needs for revenge", based on whatever excuse they perceive in a world event.

As with Columbine, the opportunity was there - availability of the means to commit the crime.

As with Columbine, I fear we will learn little from this incident to help avoid future ones.

This is America and this kind of thing is common. Not the first time this type of thing has happened and it won't be the last. We let any idiot have a gun in this country so what right have we to cry about the consequences of such irresponsible stupidity? In the end, what's the big deal?

the suspect, a Muslim, is the son of a man who was co-founder of a mosque.
There are several articles on the web...but my post
that contained links to several of them just got erased.

you can google Seattle attack hostage and find them.

apparently the suspect was stopped earlier in the day
for a traffic incident, but was released as all documents
seemed to be in order. He is a U.S. citizen.\

"...security videotapes show HAQ shoving his way past another employee who had just entered a pass code to open a security door. "He was armed and he pushed his way in,"

"HAQ had a recent run-in with the law. He is awaiting trial in Benton County, Washington for allegedly exposing himself in a public place in Kennewick. "

Horrific. I can't imagine - and never want to find out - that kind of scenario.

Sounds like he had more than one problem. It is sad that other people had to pay for them.

Pamela Waechter, a 58 year old employee of the Seattle Jewish Federation was murdered when Naveed Afzal Haq forced his way into the Federation offices on Friday and began shooting at women there. Five other women, including one who was pregnant, were wounded.

Haq, who referred to himself as a "Muslim-American," screamed anti-Israel slogans at the Jewish women as he systematically shot at them.

For information on Naveed Afzal Haq.
