Subject: RE: About JEFF/PENE--Please Read&HelpOut From: Tannywheeler Date: 23 Dec 06 - 07:09 PM Pene, you learn (you already know) how to live with it, but it never "gets better". Whatever you've been told about the 5 or 7 (or 12) "stagesof grief", you'll find you can be in all of them during the same 2-second period, in no particular order, & off&on for years. Let your friends "take care" of you: visit for a day or 2, go to dinner, etc. There will be a "stage" when you actually FEEL the warmth & kindness they wished to give you & can help someone else with it. (I haven't known you for long, but it looks like you already spread that around.) For those who've wished there was some way they could give you a good return for the benefits they've received from your presence... I believe in God, Who Is good, so I say God Bless & keep you. Tw |

Some have sposnsored me by the mile, sopme by the day, others by the hour-- whatever! PM me to get the URL to see the miles pile up. AND, Spaw, I will even dedicate the numerous farts that accompany this feat to YOUR portion of the elf fund! Name your price-- I will let people include that along with the AquaBucks. But if you could just make a few MP3's of your farts, to auction off, think how much could be raised! Now THERE is a premium! Subject: RE: About JEFF/PENE--Please Read&HelpOut From: catspaw49 Date: 21 Oct 06 - 08:05 PM Okay Catters....now listen up! This thing is going okay but like someone up there a lot smarter than me said, these things work not because a few give a lot but because a lot give a little. If you haven't yet....well try huh? More things will be coming into the Auction as well where the proceeds go to Jeff. Right now we have 3 items there and I bid on as couple myself! The Paypal thing is working well and anything you can do any way you can do it will also be accepted. WYSIWYG has got some kind of "laps for money" thing going and she's even hitting up people in her own community that have never heard of Mudcat OR Jeff! She wrote me and explained the project but I'm generally stupid so let me just say it seems kinda' like a "Walk-A-Thon" thing where you pay for how ever many laps she does....I think she's jogging in a swimming pool but for all I know she might be doing the backstroke in Jello. Anyway you can sponsor herand the money goes to Jeff. Hey...It's an idea ain't it? I couldn't do a lot of jogging in a pool............maybe someone could sponsor me in a Fart-A-Thon........... SERIOUSLY.......Let's get Jeff some serious coinage that I know he needs right now. I know he's done a lot for all of us and more will be coming from him in the future. HEY JEFF----Hang in. I know you will but you need to remember that there are just a whole shitload of 'Catters thinking about you and sending you all their best thoughts. Spaw |

Subject: RE: About JEFF/PENE--Please Read&HelpOut From: SINSULL Date: 19 Oct 06 - 08:44 AM No scam. And, gargoyle, I believe you owe it to Jeff to donate some trinket to the auction. Some personal item? A poem maybe? It is sure to be a best seller. In fact, why don't you offer to appear at a Mud Gathering and sell autographs for the cause? Meantime, jacqui and I are working on craft fair table. If my "trinkets" pass British inspection I will put some in the auction along with a batch of the infamous bourbon balls to be shipped at my cost anywhere. |

Subject: About JEFF/PENE--Please Read&HelpOut From: catspaw49 Date: 14 Oct 06 - 02:01 PM I didn't want this lost or missed in Max's message about Mudcat and his family. It's often easy for us to read and respond to the good parts and kind of skip the bad. So here's just a reminder thread to focus in on this wonderful 'Catter and the only Mudcat employee as well! Here's what Max said: Pene Azul: Pene's father has taken ill, very ill. Pene has been spending about 20 hours a day tending to his father at the hospital. To do this, Pene has quit most of his jobs, and is in quite a bind with all of his and his father's bills, not to mention the medical expenses involved. So please send your best wishes to Pene, and consider making a contribution to elffund@mudcat.org using http://paypal.com. I am putting several items from the mudcat physical archive into the auction to raise funds for Pene in this very difficult time. The items are awesome, so dig deep, take something awesome home and help our only employee of this great resource. And that pretty well sums it up. I owe so much to so many here that this is just one small chance for me to payback. Some of you might want to pay it forward. Believe me when it comes to this place, what goes around comes around and what you put in will come back to you in spades. We all owe a lot to Jeff for all the work that he does and the knowledge he has contributed to this place......and just for being the friend that he is! He's truly one of the good guys. Do whatever you can. Spaw |
