I've now got four very vigorous yarrow plants which have been growing for the past five years. Last year, two of them grew to over six feet tall. The other two are doing much better this year than ever before and are already three feet with many buds. In New England, a friend and I went out on St. John's Day to gather St. John's Wort. Put it up in olive oil which it made a beautiful ruby red. Very strong aroma...very good for bruises and such.

Dorothy, you've sparked some memories...I used motherwort, hawthorn berry, and dandelion root tinctures for menopausal symptoms. It got to where I craved the tiny sip of pure water with a few drops of each in it...definitely good for my body at the time.:-)

LafKat -

It sincerely, most truly, earnestly...warms the cockles-O'me-heart...

To read a PRO-Active responce to your afflictions ... and positive connection with the EARTH ... you ARE becoming Grounded...and I beleive...thee...like me...have begun to heel.

Sincerely
Gargoyle

No Joe... NO!!! ... not another lash before the mast.

BUT,

You say neither and I say neither
You say either and I say either
You say potato and I say potato

Garg, it simply doesn't work without that fancy scrolling you do.

I totally avoid "arthritis" by low acid diet. Tomatoes, garg, are fruit/high acid. Love your tomatoes as long as thou canst. May be there was a good reason why I never could eat them?

kat: I'll have to pass that along to my younger friends. I used B6 and E to get through that. And for varicose veins - no problem since '77 and they were very bad.

Enough to keep me alive but not enough (or the right sort) to get me high ...I don't think...Oh yeah, one of them is alcohol!

Of course, the medication that will insure logevity is low-dose aspirin.
Take one a day for 105 years, and you'll live to a ripe old age.

What side effects have been experienced by "statins"? I understand that GPs in the UK receive government payments for prescribing these.
