I don't know why, but books of old Irish songs are harder to find than books of old Scottish songs. Maybe Ireland didn't have, until recently, such a strong tradition of singing songs in English, so there were fewer songs to collect. Or maybe the songs existed, but scholars didn't bother collecting them. Or maybe scholars collected them, but Google hasn't got around to digitizing them yet. Or maybe I'm missing something.

A Treasury of Irish Poetry in the English Tongue, by Stopford Augustus Brooke, Thomas William Rolleston, 1900.

Lays and Legends of Thomond, by Michael Hogan, 1880.

Songs of Erinn, by Patrick Joseph McCall, 1899.

The Irish Poems of Alfred Perceval Graves, by Alfred Perceval Graves, 1908.

The Lyrics of Ireland, by Samuel Lover, 1858.

The Popular Poets and Poetry of Ireland, by Richard Nagle, 1887.

The Song Lore of Ireland: Erin's Story in Music and Verse, by Redfern Mason, 1910.

'Maybe Ireland didn't have, until recently, such a strong tradition of singing songs in English, so there were fewer songs to collect.'
Tom Munnelly, collector for the Irish Folklore Department, has collected 20,000 songs, mainly in English. Included in these are 50 plus of the Child Ballads, several of which have not turned up in Britain.
The last major collection published was Sam Henry's 'Songs of the People'.

There's also John O'Daly's Poets and Poetry of Munster; A Selection of Irish Songs by the Poets of the Last Century. It's a collection of songs in Irish, with English translations, rather than a set of anglo-Irish texts, but an early and important publication nonetheless.

There lots of song books published by modern day collectors, usually on their own County. Jimmy McBride from Inishowen and Jim MacFarland from Derry have a book out on local songs. Jackie Boyce from County Down has a book out on songs from County Down. John Moulden has pampklets and books published also.(search 'Ulster Songs')
You just have to search for them, they are still available.
