Subject: RE: BS: when good ideas die From: gnu Date: 20 Jul 08 - 03:49 AM When I was without pen and paper or when I was driving or some such, before I got a digital voice recorder, I used to call myself on a cell phone and leave messages on my answering machine. Of course, if you don't recognize the voice, it's annoying. |

Subject: RE: BS: when good ideas die From: RangerSteve Date: 20 Jul 08 - 07:02 AM I've written some really good tunes while driving in my car, but forgotten them by the time I get home. There's a really great waltz tune that I wrote during a traffic jam on I-95 in Virginia, I'd like to think it's floating in the air down there and maybe someone else picked it up and used it. |

Subject: RE: BS: when good ideas die From: Bert Date: 20 Jul 08 - 07:33 AM It happens to me a lot when songwriting. I console myself with the thought that it just couldn't have been that memorable. Come to think of it, some of the songs that I do remember turn out not to be that memorable as well. |
