Subject: Rod Shearman's last journey From: Liz the Squeak Date: 16 Sep 01 - 06:17 PM Tonight at 7.00pm, BST, the remainder of Rods' ashes were committed to the London River he loved so much. The sun was just setting, the river calm and fresh. The evening clear and cool. A perfect end for his journey home. I sang no sad songs, I had a drink with him, and committed him to the water with a handful of scented rose petals. I am honoured that you agreed to let me do this last service. Thank you. Liz

Subject: RE: OBIT: Rod Shearman's last journey From: GUEST,Fish Date: 16 Sep 01 - 06:28 PM His journey hasn't ended. Swimming down the Thames, I happened to swallow a few ashes. They have now become part of me. Later, I'll swim to my breeding areas in the Channel, and when I do they'll become part of my offspring too... That is unless you catch and eat me, but in that case Rod will become part of someone else anyway Peace to you all Fish |
