Subject: RE: BS: Caption From: gnomad Date: 18 Dec 09 - 08:59 PM I wouldn't. That is a fine shot without any words, and doesn't need me to devalue it. |

Subject: RE: BS: Caption From: Don Firth Date: 18 Dec 09 - 10:13 PM I recall some years ago sitting in my car, parked in the East Green Lake parking lot (in north Seattle) and seeing a cormorant standing there on the swimming raft, drying its wings in the sun. I didn't know until then that we had any around here. Don Firth |

Subject: RE: BS: Caption From: Gurney Date: 26 Dec 09 - 06:27 PM In England they call it 'Standing there like a wazzock on the pavement.' In NZ it is 'Sitting there like a Shag on a rock.' Both sayings mean having a befuddled appearance, or alternatively being a sitting target. No wonder foreigners have to ask, eh? |
