I have it from Feng Shui expert in the Hindustan Times:

whatever you do this year, do not sit facing southwest.
Instead you must obtain a dragonheaded lizard, and face
it into the SW - place it in the NE sector of the room.

Also, keep a red laughing Buddha in the South sector of
your living room, and hang a 6 rod windchime and 6 chinese
coins tied with red ribbon in the central part of the house.

ANyone know where I can get a dragonheaded lizard?

Well I've got over 400 dragons in my house, one of them MUST be suitable! As for sitting South West, if I do that, I'm looking straight into my back neighbour's bathroom..... not pretty.

At work I'm facing almost due north, but they want to move me to a south westerly position... now I have the perfect excuse!

I've got one on my dining room carpet! Facing southwest! Shriveled and dry...am I safe? (All you need is a cameleon...they sacrifice themselves all over my house regularly.) Would you like me to send you one?

We've got our polar bear in his RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) uniform facing the SW. I'm sure that will be quite good enough.

Harpgirl - why do you have cameleons all over the place, and why are they sacrificing themselves? I've read that when a 'lucky' feng shui animal dies, like a turtle or a gold fish, that it's good - they're fulfilling their purpose by absorbing bad luck that was intended for you. You must be very lucky, with so many lizards laying down their lives for you...

Don't mind me, I'm just trying to be funny, but it's getting very late, and I ought to go to bed.

Liz - at the office, try to avoid sitting with your back to a door or doorway, or with your back to a large window - the best way to sit in an office is so that you can see all parts of the room and cannot be snuck up open - so I've been told by people who claim to know something about feng shui. Suzanne

The only way I would bring a reptile into my apartment is if I was guaranteed that it would make me a best selling author.

I cleaned for a man who had his whole house feng shuied. The walls were saffron yellow, with bright red trim. It was disconcerting.

I have a book on feng shui for cats, that says if your cats are sleeping on the stairs there's negative chi in your house and you should rebuild the stairs. I don't think so.

Cats always sleep on stairs. They like being up high.
