It seems like these ICE Raids just got started when the presidential campaigns got underway, and now we have that really great big one in Mississippi.
               It's funny that George W. Bush did nothing about illegal immigration for 7 years, and he's just now gotten behind the effort. I wonder if it's orchestrated to impress the 85% of the American public who have wanted something done in this area since the immigration act that was passed in 1986?

It just seems to me like the ICE raids, like the latest one in Mississippi, are politically motivated, and I think they are having an effect on large groups of voters.

As families are ripped apart and as babies are shipped away from mothers the only difference from rounding up Jews in Nazi Germany and ICE raids is that tattoos and gas chambers do not await them at the end of their journey.

Foolestroupe - Yes, that's what I was trying to determine. Here's the scenario the way I see it:
               For his first 7 years in office, George W. Bush did nothing about illegal immigration. He seemed to be happy to see as many people come into the country as could get here, driving American wages into the toilet and providing the lowest cost workers possible for the benefit of his cronies in various businesses and industries.
               But over the course of the last several months, the ICE Raids have become bigger and more frequent. In that last one in Mississippi they rounded up almost 600 people. They've even begun to charge managers and human resource people.

               The question is: what's changed and why are they doing it now?
