So, to all my good friends here in the land of Mud and Cats I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving Day...

No matter the state of the world or one's country if we look to our own circle of freinds and family I'm sure we all have things for which we are tahnkful... I know I am, including the folks here in the Catbox....

Yep, I am thankfull for each and every one of you... Even knothead bb... Okay, maybe a little less thabkfull fir bb than others but... what the hey...

There are many things for which I'm thankful but this Mudcat and its lovely people is very high in ranking. It'a an encyclopedia, it's a resource for myriads of things, it's a music lesson, it's a lesson in friendship, it's a world broadener, it's a lesson in geography and diverse cultures, it brings laughter, it brings tears, it brings hope and lightens fears... On and on.

Not alone this Thanksgiving after all!

Just having a surprisingly good time with my roomie Peter. We went to the Mayflower Pub down in Rotherhide on the Thames in Southeast London, where the original Mayflower sailed from, and there was a big ceremoney going on at the church across the way to honour Christopher Jones the captain of that ship,who is also buried in the church cemetary (Which means he dropped everyone off at Plymouth Rock, and wisely turned round and came back to England). A "Blue Plaque" had been put up on the side of the church commemorating him and the day, and "The Great and Good" (lovely phrase, that) were all there for the occasion. I ended up getting quite tipsy with two of the former Mayor, and Mayoress' of the Borough of Southwark. Nice folks and boy, do they know their history!!

We all toasted each other and gave thanks in the church under the shadow of a replica of the Mayflower (which the Mayoress whispered to me actually contained a drinks cabinet).

Now I'm gonna nap.

No, I ain't feelin' all cut up 'cause some turkey croaked to feed me, 'cause the veggies and stuff did too.

I'm jist happy to be able to have a good meal, and you should be too, wherever you are. You should be glad thankful that you have enough to eat, 'cause that means that you kin have the energy ta help those who don't.
