BS: Why am I banned? HELP.

I have been a member for several months, and even had my locality registered, but in the last two days all my postings show "Guest" before my name. I just tried to access the member page and was told "you have to be a member, join now.

Somebody please help, I feel all alone and suicidal now that I have been banished.

Most likely you just need to reset your cookie. To do that, go to the Quick Links at the top of the page, use the scroll down menu to choose "Login", then click on Go. Follow the instructions and you should be fine. If you have any problems getting it to work, post back here. Just so you know, in the future, for these types of problems, it is best to post in the HELP forum, which you can access by clicking on HELP at the top menu bar or going to www.help.mudcat.org.

Same thing happened to me once, and to make it worse, I was feeling bad about having been pretty rude at the time.
   It took me awhile to figure out my system's cookie blocking thing. Then it switched back again. You can look it up in the faq, the usual sorts of problems. I can't remember how, it was too easy to leave an impression.

I regularly wipe my cookies with "System Suite" but I have the oprion to leave certain ones and Mudcat is one of them. The annoying thing is Yahoo do actually do useful things with them for you - like prioritorise your search to UK just when you want to go global even though it doesn't need a cookie on your machine to do that. I would rather be anonimous. I barely know myself!

This is occasionally a family site, and I don't find it at all appropriate for you to be telling the world what you wipe your cookies with. But, since you've come this far, where might someone purchase the product. Things get lonely in Canada, especially Ontario, and I'm sure some Canadians who live there would like to know. I knew you guys in the central-east part of the country would be reluctant to ask, so I'm lending you a hand here (metaphorically speaking--polish yer own cookies). Nah, my cookie is regularly wiped out whenever Parker starts fiddling with the iMac and our internet settings.
