Bryan Burrows amazing book about the crimewave of 1933-4 in America is being made into a film starring Johnny Depp.

The book itself is a brilliant piece of story telling - one that just leaves you thirsting for more insight into what was one of the truly fascinating periods of history.

If you want to hook into the whole cult, take a look at 'Handsome Harry' - a book about Harry Pierpont - the only member of the Dillinger gang to be executed. You can get a copy from Amazon for a really good price from Amazon, and it will introduce you to the main players.
