I followed a Mudcat link to Christine Lavin singing a Steve Stepakoff song about D.Trump. I hadn't listened to Christine Lavin before so I listened to more recordings. Most songs she sings aren't political. She has a song Ervin and Edith about two young sweethearts who parted and married other people but who got together again late in life after their respective partners had died. Ervin was the popular songwriter, Ervin Drake. Again, most of Drake's songs weren't political, but Christine Lavin sings his song "I'm a card-carry bleeding heart liberal". Surprisingly, I don't find the lyrics on line. Hence this request.
