But ... sometimes I think we Canadians get a bit too 'smug' when we point our fingers at the fault of the political and corporate evil south of the border ... I think we should keep track a bit more of the mess going on in our own backyard.

But I fail to see why Canada, which is hardly the world's largest arms exporter. In 2006, the "Big 15" exporters were, in order

US
UK
France
People's Republic of China
Japan
Germany
Russia
Italy
Saudi Arabia
India
South Korea
Canada
Australia
Brazil
Spain

(look up the source yourself; I'm not going to do all your work!)

Hell, when you rank well behind France, Japan, and Italy....

Thanks Rapaire ... but according to that CBC new article ... "The surge in exports has made Canada the sixth-biggest supplier of military goods to the world, according to the most recent report by the U.S. Congressional Research Service."
