The day the Flying Spaghetti Monster reached out with his noodly appendage to give life should, according to members of this religion, be taught in Science Class alonside the theories of Evolution and of course that other equally scientific theory creationism.

I would need to see some sort of scientific proof of the FSM to approve teaching this local legend to school children. Kids should find out about the flying spaghetti monster at home. Not in a public school financed by my tax dollars.

Well, I have a couple of problems with this theory. First, the Letter to the Kansas School Board refers to the FSM exclusively as "He". Historically, there have been many issues with the male-centric perspective of the various religions which have come out of the Mideast, and it would be good for the several other human sexes if the FSM would be neutral, gender-free, ambivalent, or changeable in this respect. Second, there does not seem to have been any mention of the FSM's equally well-known consort, Meatball, and we all know that one is not complete without the other. Perhaps the All-Powerful Noodle could correct these minor issues?

I think we should also revive the old campaign to clothe all animals while we're at it, for the sake of public decency. After all, about as many people are concerned about that as are about the FSM, aren't they? Those people's interests cannot by suppressed or denied any longer, can they?

What guarantee do I have that the FSM's appearance is as shown in those links, Bill? I'm suspicious of these artistic renderings. I think they are more reflective of the culture and tastes of the time in which they were painted than of the true nature of the FSM which is both immutable and ineffable.
