Liz, it in terms of the thread number and postID mudcat db would probably run into the millions of millions. A 32 bit long int is often used = 214,790,964 numbers. Not sure what the limits on SQL server (database used here) are here but the software itself could possibly deal with terabytes (1000 gigabytes)!

It's frigentening to think of this way but in those terms, something like a 4GB database here is small!!!!

Manitas has just taken delivery of a 5 terrabyte computer at work... the size of a large fridge. 30 yrs ago when he took his computer science degree, if it existed, it would have been the size of a large office block.....
