Subject: RE: andy stewart collection songbook From: Clinton Hammond Date: 24 Nov 04 - 06:50 PM Look up in the internet, the ISBN for the book you want.... (in this case... ISBN 0-8256-9420-5) Go to your local library... Ask them if they have it... If they don't, ask them to inter-library loan it... When they do, photo-copy it.. it's about 103 pages sans covers... :-) |

Subject: RE: andy stewart collection songbook From: Clinton Hammond Date: 01 Dec 04 - 08:07 PM No luck at the local library? I find that very hard to believe... Did you ask them to Inter-library-loan it for you??? |
Subject: RE: andy m. stewart collection songbook From: Peter T. Date: 02 Dec 04 - 08:29 AM Clinton is right! I got a copy through inter-library loan in the wilds of Canada. People have no idea that their library is a portal to practically any book you want that isn't too fragile or special to travel. yours, Peter T. |

(I've been looking for a copy for a long time, and can't quite get myself to violate copyright and copy a library's. Except for a couple of songs. You know. Fair use. Or something.) |
Subject: RE: andy m. stewart collection songbook From: Clinton Hammond Date: 02 Dec 04 - 04:41 PM "can't quite get myself to violate copyright " If it's out of print, then you are free to photocopy it, as long as yer not selling it... |
Subject: RE: andy m. stewart collection songbook From: Jimmy Twitcher Date: 02 Dec 04 - 10:05 PM Well, Clinton, that's not my understanding of the law. IAAL, but I don't practice in intellectual property, so I may be wrong, but I believe that only the copyright holder has the right to make any copies. That right encompasses the right to NOT make copies. |
Subject: RE: andy m. stewart collection songbook From: Clinton Hammond Date: 02 Dec 04 - 11:41 PM "so I may be wrong" It'd obviously depend on the specific laws of your country/state/whatever... but here, I'm pretty sure you'd be safe... |

Subject: RE: andy m. stewart collection songbook From: Stilly River Sage Date: 18 Sep 24 - 12:44 AM Bookfinder.com has quite a few. Don't search Bookfinder with the new title on the Stewart website. The Bookfinder search posted comes up with The Andy M. Stewart Songbook and THE ANDY M. STEWART SONGBOOK WITH WORDS, MUSIC AND GUITAR CHORDS There's no telling what kind of copy the website is selling - a reprint, a PDF, a photocopy? |
