I just noticed that I have 299 PMs onscreen. (there are a couple thousand more in my archive, but so what...) This got me wondering who will send the 300th one? I mean, if it was the 299th post showing on a thread there would be hot competition to get number 300, wouldn't there?

So what about PMs? Pretty suspenseful.

Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

Perhaps I should offer a prize.

It was heart-wrenching being informed by Little Hawk that I missed out on the picture by ONE message. He was also quite clinical and cold when he messaged back the news. I will not sleep properly for the next few days.

I just checked the archive. I've received a total of 1258 PMs since joining here.

If you want PMs, Cluin, send some. For instance, send one right now to Clinton Hammond telling him how much you admire his generally good taste and excellent conduct on this forum, and that you hope your kids grow up to be just like him. ;-) Then wait and see if he replies...

I never said I wanted PMs.

And I've got Clinton's e-mail address for when I want to contact him. I wouldn't rely on the Mudcat server's availability for that.

Do you keep ALL of your PMs, LH? I have 145 archived, but a lot more deleted. One of my archived PMs is, believe it or not, a quite nice one from Martin Gibson!

I'm afraid I haven't done any archiving or deleting in a while, so I have 276 currently showing on my screen. I'd need another 24 to get to 300 (hint hint) :-)
