If you don't know who he is...he's a former Prime Minister of Canada, and former leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada.

I've never had a dream about him. I've never met anyone who did.

Have you?

I don't follow you, Susan. Is there a "young Joe Clark" who's been prime minister of Canada?

Little Hawk, that's the name of an old fiddle tune. Inevitable, I guess, that other people have the same name. :)

Oh, I see. ;-) Well....okay. Look, I'm sure someone has had a dream about Joe Clark, former prime minister of Canada, who is now quite old, and if they had...we want to hear about it!

That's a Canuck joke. Not a good one, but...

I have never dreamed about Joe Clark but tonight I will try. I hope it won't be one of "those" dreams, but if it is, I hope I'm the boy. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I don't want to dream about Joe Clark.

I dream all the time about people I've never heard of. I get a better night's sleep that way.

I had a dream about Joe Clark and Jack the Sailor getting it on.

Then I woke up and had to puke.

I dreamed I saw Joe Clark last night
Alive as Phelan Brady
I dunno why I dream this crap
Midlife crisis maybe...

Beat me to the post, Mr. O'L, but I did have a similar dream:

I dreamed I saw Joe Clark last night.
I knew him by his chin.
I said, "Oh, Joe, it's sad to see
The shape your party's in.

An Alliance wonk is now ensconced
Atop the Tory heap
And when he grins his lizard grin
My flesh begins to creep.

The second fiddle's called Mackay
A treacherous sort of villain.
He lost at love so don't play cards
With him--not it he's dealin'."

And standing there as big as life
And choking back a sob,
Joe said, "It would be so darn cool
If I still had the job.

I'd run this country, run it right,
The way it oughta be,
But since I'm not the Tory boss
I'm voting NDP."

C'mon, gnu. Tell the WHOLE joke ...

Knock, knock!
Who's there?
Joe!
Joe Who?
Ah, c'mon, Maureen! Let me in!

Not only do you have to be Canadian to get it, you have to be Canadian Of A Certain Age.

I'm feeling old.

Bob - excellent!
