"Danskere" (Danes) with a capital D.. That would only be started with a capital D if it also started the sentence, as it counts as a noun, not a name. Where the pattern in English is Denmark > Dane > Danish, in Danish it would be Danmark > dansker > dansk. Judging from the text I think the author - whoever that is - probably had this bloke in mind when writing the "apology". Best wishes, Bente |

That said, I wondered when I first saw the thread title if the originator had maybe made a mistake and really ment to say that "The Danish has Apologized." It's the prune Danish that should, IMO. |
