Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Stilly River Sage Date: 04 Feb 26 - 11:47 PM From NPR's Fresh Air today: Is the U.S. heading into a dictatorship? with Robert Kagan interviewed by Terry Gross about a recent article in The Atlantic and a book Rebellion: Donald Trump And The Antiliberal Tradition In America. The discussion is transcribed or you can listen to the conversation at the link above. Below is the opening of the program: This is FRESH AIR. I'm Terry Gross. My guest, Robert Kagan, used to describe Donald Trump as antiliberal. Then he upped it to authoritarian, and now Kagan says that Trump is getting close to becoming a dictator. Kagan writes, "President Trump has managed in just one year to destroy the American order that was and has weakened America's ability to protect its interests in the world that will be. Americans thought defending the liberal world order was too expensive. Wait until they start paying for what comes next," unquote. |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: r.padgett Date: 05 Feb 26 - 07:14 AM So following the infinite scrutiny following the Biden win, DJT has now decided that future elections be overseen by ICE at the ballot box¬ Unbelievable ~ this is like electorate having a pit bull over your shoulders The daily threats get worse, how much longer? Where is the oversight in all this, yea gods? Ray |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Lighter Date: 05 Feb 26 - 09:08 AM Kagan was (and presumably still is) a prominent conservative writer. Presumably that's why he's no longer a Republican. |

Subject: RE: Convicted felon US Prez 47/Don't Say His Name From: Donuel Date: 05 Feb 26 - 09:34 AM "Like nobody I ever spoke to It's Unbelievable Like Nobody has ever seen Like nobody can believe " These are just a few of Trump's disqualifiers that he uses everyday. That way when he is lying these add on phrases implies he is kidding/telling the truth that he is lying. This is some pretty convoluted nonsense. The dehumanization policy inside ICE is standard operating procedure and insideously deliberate. INSTEAD of refering to people as; citizens, immigrants, suspects, perps, adults or children... They call ALL detainees BODIES. |
