Subject: Christ's face found in hamster nest!!! From: Little Hawk Date: 10 Jan 02 - 01:37 PM I swear! I looked in the cage around noon, and there it is, plain as the nose on Spaw's face. The hamster is still asleep, and probably will be until this evening, but I am afraid that when the hamster wakes it will disturb the nest and the FACE will be destroyed. What do I do??? - LH |

Let's be practical about this, LH, your hamster could be sleeping on a fortune! Hmmm, let's see. You could gently lift out the hamster (assuming it's sleeping form is not part of the vision), then spray the nest with some sort of acrylic stuff to preserve it in plaskit. Now, if the hamster IS part of the face, just spray the whole thing with acrylic, you can always get another hamster. (Leave me ALONE! I love animals, I'm just getting in the spirit here.) I predict you can sell tickets and become as famous as the face on the fridge people. You could at least take a photo and post it som'ers so's we kin see it. Now remember, this is my idea and if you use it, I get a cut (not of the hamster, you nit, the dough). mary |

I do SO have a hamster in my care at this time, although I may not strictly be its "owner". Ya don't believe me, come on over and have a look at the little beast. (Raptor lives quite nearby...) However, all this is minor in the light of a shocking new discovery... I brought down some floodlights, so as to properly illuminate the cage for taking some really good photographs...and...and... Well, to put it bluntly, in better light I see that it is not the face of Christ at all. It actually looks more like Wolfman Jack. Or maybe like my friend Mike Latter, before he got the hair and beard trimmed recently. Or it could be my great-grand-uncle Rudolph from Vienna... At any rate, I don't think it's Jesus. Nutty's words were prophetic. The dream is dead. The hamster can sleep undisturbed. This thread has run its tragic course, and I intend to go downtown and drown my sorrows (*sniff*).
