I have posted this link a few times but I check it every now and again. I think it gives a glimmer of hope that Trump is steadily losing popularity in a large collection of polls:

Real Clear Polling: Trump: Favorable/Unfavorable

The current figures have been calculated on 12 unrelated polls which have been taken from December 2025 to current polls and favourability is currently -12.7 for Trump, i.e. the average poll result is that 54.8% of the people polled were not in favour of him.

The two really interesting things to note from the compiled stats in the large table further down are that the last poll to be favourable to Trump was Big Data Poll back in October 2025 but he only scored +3% and that result is now not taken into account for the current compilation of stats. The second point of interest is that the Fox News poll back in November shows -19%, so if even Fox News and its audience doesn't like him, it does not bode well for him at all.

Not since King Charles' execution has a Royal been arrested but Andrew is now arrested regarding Epstein criminal behavior. I suspect he could implicate Trump but sleezy birds flock together.

My view is lesser of the evils ~ UK police to interview and not US where anything can happen including pleading the 5th amendment and thus a waste of time

Interview is not saying guilty of anything!

The former South Korean president has been sentenced to life in prison for his martial law move in 2024, and Andrew has been arrested for interviews. Now if we could only get some movement that direction here in the US. It's not enough to say they shouldn't do these things, someone needs to act. That's why the mid-term elections (November, after primaries starting now) are important here. Flipping the house and or the senate will let that start happening.

An ABC (Oz) article: What we know about ex-prince Andrew's arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office

The last section of that article:

"Is the arrest related to the Epstein files?

"Police have not confirmed this, however representatives from TVP — the force that arrested Mr Mountbatten-Windsor — last week met with Crown prosecutors to discuss allegations about the former royal that stemmed from the Epstein files.

"For example, emails in the Epstein files suggested that Mr Mountbatten-Windsor sent a report to Epstein outlining investment opportunities in Afghanistan.

"The document, titled Helmand: High Value Commercial Opportunities for Foreign Investment Brief for HRH Duke of York was dated December 19, 2010.

"He has not responded to those reports."

My guess about Andrew ("formerly known as Prince" ;-D ) is that he will be under investigation for leaking UK information to Epstein, mostly because the chance of pinning him - or anyone - down on the Epstein issues is very slim at present. There is way too much paperwork to wade through on Epstein, but the UK information leakage could be investigated more thoroughly.

The other UK issue regarding appointment of the previous UK Ambassador to USA, Peter Mandelson is also focusing more on leaks of UK information to Epstein rather than the sexual misconduct issues, again I think because it would be more difficult to find hard evidence on the sexual misconduct issues.

In both cases, hopefully, the sexual misconduct issues might possibly be investigated further when more concrete evidence comes to light.

A friend of mine got a copy of Virginia Giuffre's book Nobody's Girl from the library, but said he had to return it early, it was just too, too depressing to finish reading. The tide may be turning for those girls, now women, who were his victims. And the men who raped them.

Supreme Court to judge on legality of Tariffs

To issue an Executive Order imv MUST have a parent or enabling Act (based on English Law) ~ my understanding is that existing Tariff law does not clearly cover such action!

and more importantly even if tariffs "buy all the Tea in China" and beyond it is still illegal ~ way forwards must be retrospective legislation and Big T has the Republicans numbers behind him

For the Facebook-phobes, here’s the text…

“This morning, British police arrested a member of the royal family.

Let that sit for a second.

The United Kingdom, a country with a constitutional monarchy, just arrested the King's own brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. Stripped of his title. Removed from his palace. And this morning, taken into custody on his 66th birthday. On suspicion of misconduct in public office. Over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The King of England released a statement within hours. He didn't hedge. He didn't spin. He said five words that no one in American leadership has had the courage to say: "The law must take its course."

And you know what the British Prime Minister said? "Nobody is above the law."

A monarchy. Holding its own royal accountable. In 2026.
Norway charged its former Prime Minister with aggravated corruption over Epstein ties. The British ambassador to the United States was fired and resigned from the House of Lords. Slovakia's national security adviser, gone. A Swedish UN official gone. France opened investigations. Poland launched a task force to find victims. Latvia, Lithuania, investigations opened. The UN called the Epstein files evidence of what may be "one of the greatest criminal enterprises" of our time, with crimes that could meet the legal threshold of crimes against humanity.

Europe is doing this. Country after country after country. Careers ended. Investigations launched. Arrests made. Not because these people were accused of assault, most of them weren't, but because they maintained relationships with a convicted child sex trafficker after he was convicted. Because in functioning democracies, that alone is disqualifying.

Now look across the Atlantic. What is America doing?

Our Attorney General, the one who promised she would follow the truth, sat before Congress and refused to turn around and face the survivors in the room. Every single one of them raised their hand when asked if the Justice Department had refused to meet with them. Every. Single. One. She called their pain "theatrics." She called a bipartisan congressman who co-wrote the transparency law a man with "derangement syndrome." She called a sitting member of Congress a "washed-up loser lawyer." She was caught surveilling which Epstein files members of Congress were reading. And when asked how many co-conspirators she had indicted in over a year as Attorney General, the answer was zero.

Zero.

The Department of Justice redacted the names of powerful men while accidentally publishing nude photographs of trafficking survivors. They fired the lead prosecutor on the case. The Deputy Attorney General announced there would be no additional prosecutions. And Ghislaine Maxwell, the woman convicted of recruiting and grooming children, was moved to a minimum-security facility with puppy time and private workouts.

This is not justice. This is a cover-up wearing a badge.

But here is what I need you to understand. I am not writing this from a place of despair. I am writing this from a place of conviction.

Because we have been here before. We have been in moments where the powerful believed they were untouchable and the institutions meant to protect us bent to protect them instead. And every single time, every time, the American people stood up and said no. Not here. Not us. Not our children.

The soul of this nation is not defined by the people who failed it. It is defined by the people who fought to reclaim it. From Valley Forge to Seneca Falls. From the Edmund Pettus Bridge to every survivor who walked into that hearing room last week and raised their hand even though the most powerful lawyer in the country wouldn't look them in the eye.

History will not remember her name. But it will remember theirs.

Those survivors are more American than anyone protecting the Epstein class will ever be.

This Attorney General must resign, be fired, or be impeached. Not as a political act, but as a moral one. Because if a monarchy can hold its prince accountable, then surely, surely, a democracy can hold its attorney general accountable.

We are the country that taught the world what accountability looks like. We will be that country again.

For every survivor who has been gaslit by the institutions that were supposed to protect them, we see you. For every child whose name should have been redacted but wasn't, we will fight for you. For Jack and Charlotte and every kid who deserves to grow up in a country where no one is above the law, not a prince, not a president's friend, not a single soul on this earth, this ends now.

We are better than this. We have always been better than this.

And together, we will prove it”

I hope he’s right, but I’m not holding my breath. Bastards, every one who supports and protects The Orange Wankmaggot.

Sorry, Charlie, the US has always had a two-tiered form of justice.
One for the rich and one for the rest of us.
It's what 'fuck you money' refers to.

Sure, we should be above such corruption, but there are enough criminals to always take the bribe.

Ain't realism a bitch?

63% of citizens also oppose Trump tariffs.

[Pre-Chorus]
I'd like to build the tallest tower
And furnish it with kitch
Grow parking lots on top of flowers
And have a trophy bitch

[Chorus]
I'd like to teach the world to sting
In perfect harmony
I'd like to keep it in my home
And keep it company

[Verse 1]
I'd like to see the world for once
All named only after me
And hear praise echo through the hills
For pardons I give with glee

[Chorus 2]
I'd like to teach the world to sting
In perfect harmony
I'd like to teach the world to sting
With some perfect harm

It's about time to turn off the news (listening to MSNOW journalists and experts discuss the court ruling) because they're going to play remarks from the criminal himself, and I don't give him the time of day.

Now he's distracting with threats against Iran - how ironic, he's clueless as he threatens attacking a country for killing demonstrators. We don't care what he is going to say because it is all going to be lies and swipes at anyone else - probably Biden, Obama, and other Democrats of note.

The big question now is how the money collected so far is going to be refunded (with interest).

The word from the finance boys is that the large corporations have already requested refunds, and will have the manpower to jump through the red tape to get their refunds. "It will go straight to their bottom line", they say, so they will be money ahead. Because the customers who paid actually paid higher prices because of tariffs (or just gouging) will not get refunds, nor will any small business that doesn't have the staff to fight for refunds.

Because, we needed some additional way to punish small businesses and working people, and enrich the big corporations, didn't we?

I've taken time to read a small paperback (which I seem to have inherited) called The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution of the United States, which has an introduction by Pauline Maier. Most enlightening. I hereby use the only four-letter word I know with six syllables to describe what the Offender-in-Chief has been doing:

UNCONSTITUTIONAL

What's more, the Supreme Court (by six votes to three) has agreed with me: tarrifs are a tax, and only Congress can raise taxes. Surprise: as a dog returneth unto his vomit, the pillock immediately calls a press conference to double down on the offence. Verily, verily, I say unto you, the poor oik is ineducable.

Comment by Sir Ed Davey (leader of the Lib Dems):

Penguins - 1
Trump - 0

Context: tarrifs were put on the MacDonald Island, which is only inhabited by penguins.

patty is correct. Big corporations will sue for refunds of the tariffs they paid. Consumers are left holding the bag of crap. This 'emergency' trade war against every nation on Earth leaves the US losing the war against itself, with no benefits and all the costs.

Pity the fool. The fool was Mr. T

I was going about my normal daily business in a public building, listening to the music track playing overhead. Suddenly this song with the driving beat came on and I recognised it but couldn't remember which band performed it or the name of the song. Then the more I listened to the lyrics and the powerful music, the more I started to realise that this is an anthem for people who want to take back control of their lives. I had to do an internet search on the lyrics and realised that I have this CD, and I love it.

Muse - Uprising

Muse - Uprising - lyrics

Paranoia is in bloom,
The PR transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs that keep us all dumbed down
And hope that we will never see the truth around
(so come on)

Another promise, another seed
Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed
And all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined
(so come on)

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
(so come on)

Interchanging mind control
Come, let the revolution take its toll
If you could flick the switch and open your third eye
You'd see that we should never be afraid to die
(so come on)

Rise up and take the power back
It's time the fat cats had a heart attack
You know that their time's coming to an end
We have to unify and watch our flag ascend
(so come on)

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
(so come on)

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey

They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious
(so come on)

Hey, hey, hey, hey

That fourth verse says it all for the challenges of the current times, IMO:

Rise up and take the power back
It's time the fat cats had a heart attack
You know that their time's coming to an end
We have to unify and watch our flag ascend
(so come on)

And what is also really noteworthy is that the album came out way back in 2009. This song really needs to make it back to the top of the charts, IMO. We all need to learn to sing it, loud and proud, determined, strong, make our voices heard, and that driving rhythm behind it just makes the song even stronger.
