Subject: BS: catsPHiddle needs more surgery
From: Catherine Jayne
Date: 09 Aug 04 - 06:43 PM

As many of you know I surgery on my knee earlier in the year to break and reset my knee which worked wonderfully. Thank you all for your support. Unfortunately on Friday I had a bad fall but I didn't see the doctor until today who sent me straight round to the hospital. It seems I may have torn the cartlidge in the knee. The surgeon can't do an MRI scan to check due to the metal pins so the only option is surgery. For the time being I am back walking with crutches. I will know more hopefully in a week or two.

CP,

What a damn nuisance. Your understanding was nearly perfect!! ((hugs))...

Hang tough and this too shall pass, duck. We're beaming good thoughts at your legs by special dispensation.

Love,

The Gang at the Temple of the Golden Globes

I hope it all goes well, Khatt. You need another rest in the hospital resort, don't you? Being waited on hand & foot, and all that! :-)

Love & light coming your way from Oz.

Catherinejayne Perhaps I should make a quick UK run to hold your hand during your hour of need. As long as you leave one hand free to pour wine so that Micca and I can tell lies to each other and wax eloquent. You are probably better off if I just stay here and keep still. Hope all goes well sweetie.

Maybe I could get a book on Orthopedic surgery and we could do it in my dental chair, and Micca could assist and Liz could render nursing care, .......ambles off to buy a knee surgery book........I'll be in touch.

Damn.....Must really suck to be you!!!

Okay......Do waht you have to and when they fix it this time, try to stand erect as is your birthright! Falling is not allowed and will be severely frowned upon by those of us who care about you.

Now go get fixed!!! Well, not fixed exactly that way, but fixed as far as the knee thing goes.......Look, you know what I mean!

Shall I bring some 'Scottish Malted Water' down with me next month? If nothing else it will numb any pain you may be feeling.
Or should I be thinking in terms of a parrot? We could call it Cap'n Micca, or something like that.
Get better or else!!

Sorry to hear about this Khatt - perhaps I'll have chance to give you a cuddle at the Black Lion, Sunday week. Incidently, I don't know just how mobile you are at the moment - but if you do need a lift there (I know it's only round the corner) let me know.

Now stop messing about and get out of that bed!!!!

I agree with Bill D - the trampoline lessons and the Morris dancing must stop - especially the Morris dancing ON the trampoline!

Hugs to you - get the knee fixed (hopefully the pins are okay and they will just tuck that cartalige back in place...)

do NOT screw up getting to Getaway!!!!!!

Giok, don't bring that water to her!

She is falling and damaging her knee without it - now imagine what damage she will do to herself when lubricated with Scottish waters ;-)

It is a much better idea to send the water to me ;-)

Thanks Giok for telling me where Austria is - I never knew that ;-)

But I could go to Austria and back home without travelling more than the one-way distance from here to Bad Reichenhall.

Strohrum is awful stuff - you do not really want it.

Well I saw the consultant yesterday and its taken me this long to post the news as I have been getting my head round what he said especially as I really wasn't well after the last surgery. I will be going in for surgery withing the next 4 months to have the same operation on my left knee as what I had on my right knee (Tibial Transfer) they will also have a look in my right knee with the camera and clear out any broken cartlidge there. The consultant says my left knee is too unstable to be left alone. Because I had the fall 2 weeks ago I will be going back to see the consultant on 30th September to make sure all the soft tissue damage has healed and he will give me a date for the surgery.

Thank you for all your good wishes.

Khatt

You knew you would need both of them doing in the end - better sooner rather than later! At least they now know how badly you react to being knocked out (they didn't last time, remember) and aren't going to try putting you under twice.

All you can do is put up with it and start regathering all the hugs around to keep you going, {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{start of new collection}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} and be extra nice to your man as he has to put up with you. Afterwards they will probably let you carry giants as you will be totally stable!

Lots of love and hugs,
Mum xxxxx
