Subject: BS: Congress's tragedy of the commons From: Janie Date: 04 Jun 11 - 11:27 PM Lisa Null shared a link on Facebook to the following op-ed in the Washington Post that is worth passing on. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/congresss-tragedy-of-the-commons/2011/06/02/AGZ6JZHH_story.html. After I read it and reflected, I realized that not just congressmen and women ought be more mindful of trash-talking the institutions of our government, but the rest of us might want to think about changing some of our own rhetoric. |

Subject: RE: BS: Congress's tragedy of the commons From: Janie Date: 05 Jun 11 - 07:41 PM Richard, we appear to not have read the same article. My understanding is the gentleman was referring to the verbal and political conduct of members of Congress with respect to the institution of Congress, in their efforts to keep getting re-elected. |
