Subject: BS: Reading Jubal Sackett now... From: Little Hawk Date: 06 May 03 - 07:20 PM Say, now here's another great book, by the looks of it. Having had a marvelous exursion into Zane Grey, I am now back to Louis L'Amour's Sackett family. This book is especially interesting, cos it deals with an earlier American, in the 1700's, and lots of stuff about the Eastern woodland Indians. Marvelous subject for an adventure story. - LH |

An adventure series I loved when I was a young adult was the Horatio Hornblower series by C.S. Forester. That was chronological, and very good. These Sacketts are a rugged bunch. You wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of them. - LH |
