Subject: Book by 'Catter Alan Moorhouse From: gnu Date: 30 May 21 - 05:58 PM I was saddened today to learn Alan recently passed. He was a Mudcatter of note from England. We spoke many times of his travels in Europe, mostly in Germany. His brother Jeremy has since edited his book and published it. I look forward to reading it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B095GSG23T?fbclid=IwAR0lyjftZNajoLVkoJN8WK_N3xSxrWme5YRZxvTtkVJHMAzULYVIXMrj9rk |

Subject: RE: Book by 'Catter Alan Moorhouse From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 31 May 21 - 02:05 PM Patty C ....It is there ... However, I missed it too the first time. . Jack has gone to Germany to busk and work as a one-man band. He loses everything when he's attacked and left for dead at the side of the road. After a stay in hospital, he's overwhelmed by the kindness of a pair of young doctors who offer him a place to stay and recuperate over the harsh German winter. He soon finds himself absorbed into a welcoming community and meeting a woman who he adores. Not all is harmonious in the village though. A group of Neo-Nazis are menacing a refugee hostel, ultimately leading to tragic consequences. Jack becomes involved as the community unites to fight the menace in their midst. Sincerely, Gargoyle What a kind thing for a brother to do. |
Subject: RE: Book by 'Catter Alan Moorhouse From: Stilly River Sage Date: 19 Jan 24 - 10:19 AM Pulling up a couple of gnu's "above the line" music posts and this one is a surprise - because looking into Alan Moorhouse is an eye-opener. I knew the name on Mudcat but he seems to have had a lot of interests in various musical directions. I'm glad Gary and Alan connected. (RIP both of them now.) Also - more about Alan on his old Facebook page. |
