That's a pretty impressive statistic Jon. Consistant too, throughout an entire six overs, but I dunno if it's good enough to save his job for him.

Yes, Warne, the poor bastard, any private citizen in his situation would be ignored. Everyone would look the other way and talk in whispers, but because he's a hero, he must be destroyed. Publicly.
He should be the captain, but they'll never give it to him. The tabloids would never allow it.

...and Flintoff better not have anything in his past to be ashamed of, because even now there is an army of shitsucking vermin scurrying through every back door of his life looking for payable dirt.

If there's something there, they'll find it.

Yup - it's started... the shits are already commenting on his post-series partying. As if a guy can't celebrate when he has achieved something worth celebrating!

It's only jealousy, because the journo's don't have their own lives. I often thought that the tables should be turned on tabloid editors, and have cameras watching every little thing they do - how would they like that?

Meantime - next stop, the sub-continent!

Gods! At his age anyone can be forgiven for partying even without a reason! In fact...so can anyone.....

Saturday sees the English Rugby team play their ever first match in the seat of Irish Gaelic games, Croke Park Dublin. The English national anthem will also be played on the field that supporters of Irish Gaelic games said would never happen. Such a great day for English Rugby, the game we brought to the world. Good luck lads.

I don't know where you got the idea that "supporters of Irish Gaelic games said would never happen"! It was the GAA itself that voted in favour of allowing non-GAA games to be played in Croke Park.

Anyway, I'm sure that everyone who participates will get a great welcome and may the best team win! (hopefully Ireland!)

Peace, that looks more like Irish beef (rather than the "Roast Beefs of Olde England")!

"On dear 43.13 Not a great result."

I tend to disagree.

In fact I am positively ecstatic.

I wish there were a good spelling of a freshly blown raspberry.

Well done Ireland, as a Scots-Irishman, it's good to have at least one side to cheer.
Scotland were rubbish yesterday, it was a bit like watching ritual suicide.
Giok

As an Englishman, may I say Well done Ireland.

I was busy yesterday, so I only caught bits of the match, but those I say showed England being clearly out played.

The better team on the day won, I only wish the scores had been closer.

Ireland 44 England 13, In hindsight they shouldn`t have played the Queen at glorious Croke Park, the woman has a bad back and she couldn`t have given her best, although looking at the other queens that turned up for England, she might not have been out of place.
That is 4 years in-a-row now our wee country have beaten you, it should never happen, England have more rugby clubs than we have players, it is only our 4th most popular sport, and England can count themselves lucky it was only a thirty point margin, had Ireland taken all of their chances it could well have been a 60 point margin.
We are allowed to gloat after all 60 plus million against 6 million, it is a great feeling.
