Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epedemic? From: GUEST,petr Date: 26 Sep 05 - 12:57 PM in terms of planning for disasters, there is way too much worry about a terrorist attack (which as bad as it may be can kill maybe a few thousand people) a pandemic such as the SPanish influenza is a far worse possibility as it may wipe out millions. |

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epedemic? tamiflu info.. From: GUEST,druv Date: 01 Oct 05 - 01:00 AM Tamiflu is a medicine to treat flu infection caused by influenza virus. It belongs to a group of medicines called neuraminidase inhibitors. These medications attack the influenza virus and prevent it from spreading inside your body. It treats flu at its source by attacking the virus that causes the flu, rather than simply masking symptoms.. while surfing the net I found some more information on tamiflu check http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s3353-s-TAMIFLU.aspx |

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epedemic? From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 01 Oct 05 - 02:05 AM Depending on source/storage, the shelf-life for Tamiflu is 18months 2years.
Do not use uncertain sources.
PLEASE go to your physician - talk over the symptoms - secure an advance prescription - and then if/when your fever soars to 102 with additional symptoms immediately purchase a fresh batch from your local pharmacy, consume the prescribed doseage, and return to your physician.
INFLUENZA - and its treatment is NOT to be taken lightly. It is not the common cold.
Tamiflu works (from my personal experience, three times, over six years) BUT...see a doctor, PLEASE!!!

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epedemic? From: GUEST Date: 01 Oct 05 - 11:45 PM Dearest Fool
My evidence indicates otherwise - submit your source, Austrailians may have been involved.
As long as we are on the topice of Infulenza - punch through and look at the development of Medimune (MEDI)

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epidemic? From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 02 Oct 05 - 02:23 AM The guy who discovered that wild birds on the Great Barrier Reef in 1969 were the source of flu and that flu passed from birds to humans and not from humans to birds as was the previous scientific wisdom, was interviewed on Aussie TV this morning. He went on to develop the basis on which anti-virals were developed. As he said, "With 1.7 billion doses of Tamiflu made, if I had asked for a dollar a dose, I'd be a happy man!". Sorry, was only half watching - life you know - so didn't catch his name. |

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epedemic? From: Rapparee Date: 02 Oct 05 - 08:59 AM I kinda suspect that quite a few people in several countries had a hand in the discovery and production of antivirals. Over the years I've noticed that it's very, very rare for only one person to "discover" something, whether person is Alexander Fleming or Albert Einstein or Chris Columbus. |

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epidemic? From: Rapparee Date: 02 Oct 05 - 09:29 AM By the way, I wouldn't rule out Fred Hoyle and Chandra Wickramasinghe's theory of the extraterristial origin of not only flu virii, but life itself. Check out their theories -- and discussion -- here. My verdict is "Not Proven." |

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epidemic? From: Peace Date: 04 Oct 05 - 08:55 PM I, on the other hand, will send you one-liter containers of Alberta Mountain Air for the low, low, low price of $16.95 plus postage and handling. Just $35.95 plus postage and handling if you buy TWO. |
|
Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epidemic? From: Peace Date: 04 Oct 05 - 09:00 PM If you decide to buy three or more, the price will be just $19.95 per bottle plus shipping and handling. One astute observer has already messaged me to request an order of--you may find this a bit hard to believe--sixty-seven bottles. WOW. The shipping and handling will cost less than a 1967 red Mustang. Keep those orders comin' in folks. We got lots of air in Alberta (you wags resist the temptation on that one, SVP). |

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epidemic? From: Ebbie Date: 04 Oct 05 - 09:49 PM Before I order a bottle - maybe two of them- can you assure me, Peace, that they were filled outdoors? I would absolutely HATE to buy indoor air. I've got a lot of that already. |

Subject: RE: BS Avian flu epidemic? From: GUEST,www.KillerFlu.net Date: 11 Oct 05 - 10:44 PM Your friend has valid concerns and yes the military probably did warn him correctly. I was 8 years in the service. I have done extensive research on the matter and things are not looking good. It is something that I would have said and did was crazy 1 year ago, but things are different and it is a real threat to the world. A Pandemic will mostly likely hit the world and 50 - 80 percent of us may be gone. But the smart ones who investigate and who have and open mind will remain. I have written an eBook if you are interested, check it out at: www.killerflu.net . It will explain what the flu is, what the h5N1 stains is and how it will affect the world if a Pandemic would happen, from preparing for it, how to avoid the flu, what precautions to take, latest research on prescription medications, what alternative antivirals to use and most of all what you can do FREE and what is around the house to help you survive. (This eBook will help you: Understand what the Avian (Bird or H5N1) Flu virus is; How to prepare for a possible Pandemic; How to avoid becoming infected; Know what to expect after a Pandemic, How to prepare your immune system!) You may get some tips here: http://www.killerflu.net/sample_chapter_information. I priced the eBook at 9.95, so that everyone can afford it. However, if you would like it and you can not afford this price, email me at: eBook@killerflu.net and I will try to help you out with a free copy. Good Luck, April Kelley |
