Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Pauline L Date: 27 Dec 04 - 06:51 PM I can vouch that Sinsull sounds much better. Now if I can only restrain her from trying to resume normal activities too quickly... |

But tell Michael to enjoy! Love, Auntie SINS Seamus must be afraid I am going to die. He won't let me out of his sight. Slept all day at my feet. Sat next to me when I finally woke up. He goes outside for two minutes and then comes right back in to check on me. Poor puppy. brucie - cigarettes? Shame on you! Or do you grow and roll your own? SINS |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Bert Date: 27 Dec 04 - 08:48 PM Hi SINSMELUV. you must turn to folksong for this one. John Brown's baby's got a cold upon his chest. John Brown's baby's got a cold upon his chest. John Brown's baby's got a cold upon his chest. and we rubbed it with camphorated oil. Or you could try a few pints of best bitter. Luvya, Bert. |

Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Peace Date: 27 Dec 04 - 09:20 PM I stopped growing at the age of twenty; however, I do roll my own. Help me cough and clear the congestion out of my lungs. |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Pauline L Date: 27 Dec 04 - 11:52 PM Seamus's devotion to Sinsull is quite impressive. I keep telling her that it's because he loves her, and she insists that it's because she feeds him and takes him to the dog park. She really looks and sounds much better. I haven't told her this yet, but I've been feeling crummy for the last couple of hours. Oh, no! |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Ebbie Date: 28 Dec 04 - 12:15 AM Oh, dear! |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Donuel Date: 28 Dec 04 - 12:59 AM Get well soon My cold has produced award winning morning green rocks and crud far superior to carpenters glue. These are long lasting but not entirely debilitating colds this year. My ear infection that led to 20% hearing loss has been nearly restored to normal with the use of steroids (pregnesone) So all my weight loss has been negated. Fair trade in my book. |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: gnu Date: 28 Dec 04 - 05:27 AM Rub a few pints of best bitter on your chest ? I suppose it depends upon who is doing the rubbing. |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Big Mick Date: 28 Dec 04 - 08:26 AM Get better, dearie!! Just like you to notice someone needs cheering up and take it on yourself to do it. You are a great heart, Mary. Pauline, enjoy yourself up there. hAPPY hOLIDAYS!!! (dAMN cAPSLOCK!!!) mICK |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Bat Goddess Date: 28 Dec 04 - 10:20 AM Pauline, fer-pete's-sake (how did Pete get in this conversation?!?) TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, TOO!!!! [caps mine -- not as much fun saying as "italics mine", but it works] Looking forward to meeting you Friday at The Press Room and then getting some more singing in (between glugs of champagne) at Sinsull's. And I expect EVERYBODY to be healthy by then!!! Linn |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Pauline L Date: 28 Dec 04 - 01:56 PM I'm looking forward to meeting all the 'Catters who will be here on New Years Eve. We can drink to everyone's health. Pauline |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Allan C. Date: 28 Dec 04 - 03:51 PM I just spoke with SINSULL and Pauline a short while ago. Sinsull's voice sounds pretty awful; but she is up and around. She seems to be recovering at a rapid rate. Pauline does, indeed, sound as though she may be on the cusp of whatever plague befell dear Sins. Here's hoping the bug is kind and you both are in good condition for the New Year. |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Hollowfox Date: 28 Dec 04 - 04:21 PM Pauline, m'dear, that cidergarlichoney concoction sounds like the Intensive Care ward at a hospital. You only stay in ICU when you're too sick to complain about the discomfort. Likewise, anyone who is well enough to fight off that goo must be on the road to recovery. Soo, are you sick enough to gag it down? |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Ferrara Date: 28 Dec 04 - 04:34 PM Sleep, Pauline, that's the thing. Maybe some of the cats will switch their allegiance for a few hours and keep you warm. :-) And of course lots and lots of liquids, far as I can tell that's second only to sleep, remedy-wise. Will be sending you both good thoughts of being well & hearty for New Year's Eve. |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: SINSULL Date: 28 Dec 04 - 04:54 PM Pauline is asleep and I am cranky - a sure sign that I am feeling better. Meantime katlaughing needs all the attention she can get. So feel free to let this drop to the bottom. Thank you all. SINS |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Alba Date: 28 Dec 04 - 04:59 PM ...and for the weak stomached among you there is a tablet form of my Father's remedy. You can see it's benefits here....: Cidervinegar/Garlic/Honey goo! Blessings to all, now back to Kat:>) Glad your feeling Cranky Sinsull....{{{{hugs}}}} Jude |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: Pistachio Date: 28 Dec 04 - 05:17 PM Greetings, wishes for a speedy recovery and sympathy - from a 'coughing' catter in East Yorkshire. I lost my singing voice on Sunday 19th, while singing! and still can't find it!! My husband is enjoying some peace but the cough is hell and keeps the whole street awake. Lots of liquid they say - and a spoon of honey as often as you like as it's natures antiseptic (so says my neighbour). It's the first Christmas that I've not been able to sing and the cold air sets off my cough so I haven't even been out since 24th. Still, if that's all I've got to put up with I'll stop moaning now - thoughts go to those poor souls caught up in the tsunami. Good wishes to all for 2005. Hazel. |
Subject: RE: BS: Get well, Sinsull From: freda underhill Date: 28 Dec 04 - 06:45 PM glad to hear you're at the cranky stage - good luck! and for sore throat - try gargling salty water, Sinsull, or gargling hot whisky! best wishes freda |
