Has anyone got the tune for the funeral song by Keith Marsden "then all his other wives came in..." I heard it this summer, but only retained the chorus in me head.

PM me with your email address, and I'll send you an MP3 of Keith (and Cockersdale) singing it. It's 7Mb, though... I could reduce the quality if that's too big.

this sounds like one I heard of the gypsy king's funeral. Could it be?

Most of Keiths songs are in the book ' Picking Sooty Blackberrys ' which is still available, wonderful.

Definately worth treating yourself, make it an early Christmas present - presumably contact Cockersdale to get a copy

I went to the "Picking Sooty Blackberries" workshop at Sidmouth Folk Week this year: great stuff: learned 16 songs of Keith's, including the Funeral Song, with Cockersdale. There is a double CD, recorded live at Whitby in 2000 available form Cockersdale's John O'Hagan - we got it for a tenner including postage (28 titles)
