Subject: RE: Grace O'Malley From: mm Date: 20 May 99 - 05:09 PM Ask the O'Malley Clan: Cormac O'Malley, son of Ernie, was "The O'Malley" a couple of years ago (I think he's in New York) and he'd be able to tell you: I'm sure he's probably online if you do a search. |

Subject: RE: Grace O'Malley From: Susanne (skw) Date: 20 May 99 - 07:40 PM Have you heard Shaun Davey's suite 'Granuaile'? It's on Tara Records (CD 3017). Great, if on the sentimental side occasionally. Also, there are at least two biographies available, one for children. Her life was a great adventure story, after all. The other one is by Anne Chambers, published by Wolfhound Press. - Susanne |

Subject: RE: Grace O'Malley From: Big Mick Date: 21 May 99 - 01:14 AM Also read 'Grania' by Morgan Llywelen. You may have to have your bookseller do an out of print search. Marvellous historical novel, well researched, and about one of Ireland's greatest heroes. Also there is a song done by the Wolfetones, the lyrics can be found HERE Mick |
