Subject: Origins: 'from the ancient city of Prague' From: MickyMan Date: 10 Jul 10 - 11:12 AM My wife and I have spent the last 40 minutes looking up a song by some female folk group that did a song with this phrase. Please help us! It is most certainly Brecht and Weill's "The Ballad Of The Soldier's Wife" which is done by by Marianne Faithfull here on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8E8o_phubY .... but it was harmonized beautifully by a women's coffee house type harmony group. Did "Huxtable, Christiansen And Hood" or "Voices" do this one? |
