Songwronger wants me, and anyone else who disagrees with him, hauled up before the International Criminal Court in The Hague and tried for the crime of "hate speech."

He wants Mudcat's moderators to do this, but I encourage him to file his own complaint. My defense would be to present a print-out of his posts with his various allegations against President Obama and let the court determine who it is who is spewing hatred.

Songwronger, ever true to form, purposely misquotes the story he leads with.

He says, "They make up a story where Obama's not just a descendant of slaves, he's a descendant of America's FIRST African slave.

First, of course, he says "they make up a story", which is his own interpretation in aid of his propagandistic premise.

But besides that, the story calls Mr. Punch "the first documented black slave" etc. Note, "documented".

Now, I haven't read anything about a white man named Frank Davis being the "real" and illicit father of Mr. Obama, but from whom, and on what authority, does it come? It sounds to me suspiciously like
another ill-natured smear like the discredited birther claim. Those people just WON'T give up or pipe down!

Skin tone will not win or lose the coming election. It will be decided by voters who are really tired of Republican bullshit on each and every issue. The Republican Party has no more credibility in or out of the USA, and since it's hard to separate the lies from the spin from the bullshit they will not get sufficient votes to take the White House. That said, I wouldn't put it past them to usurp the whole election process. In about six months Americans will know whether they still have the remains of a democracy, or as pedants are fond of saying, a republic.

Obama's latest racist behavior:

His July 26 executive order established a government panel to promote "a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools."

Because of those causes, the report suggests, "over a third of African American students do not graduate from high school on time with a regular high school diploma, and only four percent of African American high school graduates interested in college are college-ready across a range of subjects."

"What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don't get suspended for," because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups' different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department's Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases.

"It is too bad that the president has chosen to set up a new bureaucracy with a focus on one particular racial group, to the exclusion of all others," said Roger Clegg, the president of the Center for Equal Opportunity.

It's pretty simple. Obama's order says schools need to reduce the amount of discipline handed out to blacks, or start disciplining other racial groups more. Make the numbers balance.

The Executive Order does not say one single thing about requiring schools to "reduce the amount of discipline handed out to blacks, or start disciplining other racial groups more". Reading the primary source is always a good thing.

It says blacks "disproportionately experience school discipline and referrals to special education" and then says the situation can be remedied by "decreasing the disproportionate number of referrals of African American children from general education to special education by addressing the root causes of the referrals and eradicating discriminatory referrals."

So blacks are discriminated against when they're punished. Punished at a 'disproportionate' rate. The E.O. says that rate needs to be brought into 'proportion.'

Like I said, Obama's the most racist president I've ever seen. He's ordering public schools to not displine blacks, or to discipline non-blacks at a proportionate rate.

Where the hell did you guys learn to debate?

ABC as a matter of fact. But I had nothing to do with the national news. My responsibility was the local news in Eastern Washington State's Tri-Cities area (Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland). But I did have to deal with a few local politicians, not to mention news from the Hanford Nuclear Reservation just up the pike from Richland.

Fascinating job. I learned a lot! But the pay was lousy, as were the hours, so I eventually quit and took a job as a straight board announcer (disc jockey) in a prestigious classical music station in Seattle. Good hours, I got to listen to a lot of music I like as I sat there with my feet propped up and a cup of coffee in my hand.

And the pay was great!!

However, I never forgot what I learned at the Tri-Cities station. I can spot "spin" from several miles off!
