In order to avoid offending nowadays, one is obliged to concoct ridiculous, convoluted descriptive terms like: "physically challenged", mentally challenged" and so on...

This sort of thing was predicted long ago by writers like Orwell and Huxley. One of them called it Newspeak. It's a symptom of a certain kind of cultural fascism...given that the main modus operandus of fascism is to rule through fear.

I don't know that the internet is full of idiots, but I do know that there are a lot of people in it who separate their internet life off (deliberately or unawarely) as not worth being their own, best selves. I also have seen, however, how that has a way of changing over time, when something compelling brings them to a new paradigm.

I believe the Ren fairs are still off limits to idiots, but they are allowed in the gate with historic re-enactors.

though there really are some "internet challenged" people out there - one of the e-lists I belong to includes on EVERY SINGLE POST instructions on how to un-subscribe from the list. and about once a month someone sends in a plaintive plea to "take me off the list please" completly ignoring the instructions.

You can't find any real info online because it is all programed by idiot's, all info is posted by idiot's, and it's made to be read by our illiterat, idiot's populating the world today. I may have some mis-spelling adventures sometimes but I'm not stupid. I love to read and learn, but this idiot computer doesn't seem to contain any knowledge beyond what a sixth grader can use.Somebody tell me is there a chip in here to limit knowledge to a lower level? O' that's right, it's made by idiot's for idiot's! May some force guide you if you need to find intelegent info, best of luck!
