What's wrong with sitting down to pee OG? I do it at home all the time. Mind you it helps when you know the other person using the seat!

It's not that men get lost.
It's not that they are navigationally challenged whether standing or sitting.

It's just that they haven't quiet grasped the fact that they are genetically disposed to being wrong even when they are right they can't help it poor dears.

womenz just have to guide them gently! a ring through the nose usually works ;)

Toilet seats. - By the time we womenz find a moment in our busy day, looking after the menz in our lives, to get to the toilet we are, for want of a better expression, busting for a pee. Have you ever sat on the cold hard edge of a porcelain pan? It ain't comfortable and depending on the aim of the males in the family, it can be bloody unhygenic! But, when we get into the bathroom in a desperate state, we sometimes don't have time to see if the seat is up or down or to put it down without cracking the pan as it drops into position. That leaves us feeling cranky and misunderstood for the rest of the day.

What do we want? Depends on the woman you're talking about. Mostly we want to have an understanding with the important male in our lives, at least to the degree that if we have a difference of opinion we can end up laughing together and working out a solution to the problem. Sometimes comes down to both parties understanding that a lot of the foibles of their partner are problems for THEM, not the perpetrator. Adjust or deal with it yourself.

Considering that women pee far more often than men, it makes sense for us to put the seat down after we finish because the law of probability says that she is going to be the next user.

OK, here's the my logic on the toidy issue: a woman needs the seat down 100% of the time. A man needs the seat down 50% of the time. That makes 75% of the time overall that the seat should be down. Doesn't it make more sense to have leave it down in general??

I didn't know that about having to pee urgently being a sort of occupational hazard of womenhood. Until I read your post, I was of the school of thought that says "it works two ways. If down, put it up, if up pu tit down, as desired".

I just realized how wrong I have been all my life on this important, not to say central, issue.

This is a no-brainer in our house.....the lid goes DOWN so the critters stay out of the potty water! I know they like it and all but then they want to come give us a kiss (dogs) or the kitties track the water all over the place. Potty lid (and seat) DOWN!

We have one of those Japanese terlets in our new bathroom that closes itself gently if given half a chance. You just have to kinda slap it on your way by, and it goes hssssssssss and closes. Makes it much easier, especially at night when someone is asleep nearby.
