Amos, you gave up. The swords I brought (or rather Jeri brought for me) to Getaway were not the ones I am speaking of -- these I would have had a problem getting on an airplane. However, if you want to face them next year I'll ship them on ahead. Or perhaps, less dangerous to your continued living, I'll send on a pair of mensur sabers and you can return to mellow SoCal with a nice fresh scar on your cheeks (those of your face, unless you turn and run).

Well, no, Shame. It's just that I am required by law to wear a mask when I go out because if I don't women become instantly aroused by its display of masculine good looks. Then they either crawl all over my body or swoon. When I was just a lad I could break up marriages of fifty years standing just by being glimpsed as I walked down the road. Ladies young and old, rich and poor, threw themselves at me, begging me to "pleasure them".

I understand you have the same standing legal order, to wear a mask when you go out. I understand that it started the moment you were born and it's going to continue after you're dead. The difference is that you have to wear it all the time because if you don't clocks stop, mirrors break, and if you look at a train it derails. People have to be admitted to hospital because of violent gagging and non-stop vomiting. And I've heard that even the masks are starting to reject you, just like a facial transplant would.

Many times Shane, many times. Costs a fortune though.

My name is pronounced Lez. Just though I'd let you Mercans know.

"My name is pronounced Lez" - is that as in French, Spanish or Polish?

Last night, I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to change my name to TEd, because it made a lot of sense then.

But, it was one of those middle of the night decisions, ya know, the ones that do not seem to make much sense in the morning. So, in the morning I decided leave it as it as it always has been. So, its now off.

I did not tell anyone. But, if you happened to dabble in "telepathic communication" you may have gotten wind of this very temporary name change, "thingie".

This is to confirm I am still Ed T and I am sorry about any confuson that my early morning mind TEd wanderings may have caused.

When people changes their Mudcat names, all their past posts are updated with the new name. This can be quite confusing if the original names have been used within discussions as the names in the text no longer match the names heading the posts.

Is it be possible to have a directory, accessible through the Quick Links, which would cross-reference the changing identities of members ?

DC

Good point, Doug, but it seems a long shot. Of course, I dunno squat about how things work; just glad they do.

I was considering changing my name to g as it takes 66.7% less time to type but I thought, hey, I don't have to type it and anyone who wants to can just type g and I'll know who they are talking about.

Ed T... I hope you never change ya crazy bugger.

It's sort of a good idea, but several folks have 'messed' with the name bit so often that it would take forever to sort them out.

Names are for **ID**, not for game playing.

I blame it all on the Dems losing the House.

No, it's all Reagan's fault. Not the dead president, King Lear's daughter.

I am so indecisive it would take me forever to come up with a new name.
