Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Peace Date: 17 Apr 07 - 08:28 PM Hey, Mooh, howzit, man? OK. Gotta come up with some jokes for you. Get you in stitches. Sew, here ya go! 'A surgeon goes to return some books borrowed from the library... The librarian quips after checking the books..... "Sir your books are always returned with the last page missing in every book..." The surgeon replies... "I can't stop myself from removing an appendix when ever I see one."' ******************************************************** A guy goes to visit his grandmother and he brings his friends with him. While he's talking to his grandmother, his friend starts eating the peanuts on the coffee table, and finishes them off. As they're leaving, his friend says to his grandmother, "Thanks for the peanuts." She says, "Yeah, since I lost my dentures I can only suck the chocolate off 'em. ******************************************************* This old lady walks into the Doctor's office and says, "Doctor, please help me. I have a terrible problem with farting. It's not really a social problem, because you can't smell it or hear it, but I must have farted 20 times since talking to you." The Doctor nods his head and says, "Take this bottle of pills and use them all. When they are all gone in about 2 weeks, come back to see me." The old lady comes back 2 weeks later and is angry. She says "What was in those pills? I fart just as much. You still can't hear them, but now they smell horrible!" The Doctor again nods his head and says, "Great, that takes care of your sinus problem, now let's work on your hearing." ******************************************************* (Please notice I'm doing my best not to cut and paste any really funny ones. I know it hurts to laugh after one's appendix have been removed.) A pregnant woman from Virginia was involved in a car accident and, while in the hospital, she fell into a coma. When she awoke days later, the woman noticed that she was no longer carrying a child, and asked, 'Doc, what happened to my baby!' The doctor replied, 'Ma'am, you've had twins! You're the proud mother of a handsome baby boy and a beautiful baby girl. Also, you should know that while you were in a coma, your brother named the children for you.' 'Oh, no!' shrieked the woman. 'Not my brother! He's not really all together, if you know what I mean!' The doctor replied, 'Well, ma'am, your brother named your daughter Denise.' 'Oh, that's no so bad,' smiled the woman. Then, hesitantly, she asked, 'What's the boy's name?' The doctor grinned and said, 'Denephew. ****************************************************** Actual Quotes from Medical Records The following quotes were taken from actual medical records as dictated by physicians... By the time he was admitted, his rapid heart had stopped, and he was feeling better. Patient has chest pain if she lies on her left side for over a year. On the second day the knee was better and on the third day it had completely disappeared. The patient has been depressed ever since she began seeing me in 1983. Patient was released to outpatient department without dressing. I have suggested that he loosen his pants before standing, and then, when he stands with the help of his wife, they should fall to the floor. The patient is tearful and crying constantly. She also appears to be depressed. Discharge status: Alive but without permission. The patient will need disposition, and therefore we will get Dr. Blank to dispose of him. Healthy appearing decrepit 69 year-old male, mentally alert but forgetful. The patient refused an autopsy. The patient has no past history of suicides. The patient expired on the floor uneventfully. Patient has left his white blood cells at another hospital. The patient's past medical history has been remarkably insignificant with only a 40 pound weight gain in the past three days. She slipped on the ice and apparently her legs went in separate directions in early December. The patient experienced sudden onset of severe shortness of breath with a picture of acute pulmonary edema at home while having sex which gradually deteriorated in the emergency room. The patient had waffles for breakfast and anorexia for lunch. Between you and me, we ought to be able to get this lady pregnant. The patient was in his usual state of good health until his airplane ran out of gas and crashed. Since she can't get pregnant with her husband, I thought you would like to work her up. She is numb from her toes down. While in the ER, she was examined, X-rated and sent home. Occasional, constant, infrequent headaches. Patient was alert and unresponsive. When she fainted, her eyes rolled around the room. ****************************************************** Get well soon, Mooh. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: black walnut Date: 19 Apr 07 - 06:08 PM MOOH SAYS THANK YOU! I saw Mooh and his wife today at the hospital. He is still very tired and weak, but he still had his lovely sense of humour and the twinkle in his eye. Mooh wants me to thank everyone here for their good wishes, and that he will say so himself when he's feeling up to it. I wrote a little rhyme for Mooh when I got back from the hospital: This is the bedpan, and this is the cup This is the medicine - now drink it all up This is the incision - it looks like a line This is the morphine - and it's mine, all mine! ~b.w. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: GUEST,Seiri Omaar Date: 21 Apr 07 - 11:17 AM Dad (Mooh) will be in the hospital for two or three more days followed by three to six weeks of extremely limited activity. Which means almost no work, and no gigs. His pain is under control, but worse than first anticipated because the surgery was not routine. Sorry folks, there's no internet access at the hospital in Mooh's room. Thanks, b.w. for the poem; Mooh says he'll put it to music when he gets home! Cheers, Seiri, and Peace and Love from Mooh. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Mooh Date: 22 Apr 07 - 06:33 PM Hi from Mooh's wife, My daughter has taught me how to get on this chat via Ottawa. I just came home to check messages before I go back to see him. He is still in the hospital. The nurses are looking after him very well and hopefully soon he will be home. Unfortunately "Mooh" has really had the stuffing taken out of him (no pun intended)and he will be out of commission for quite awhile. I know he was so happy to receive your good wishes from B.W. and looks forward to responding soon. Thanks, Mooh's wife |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: catspaw49 Date: 24 Apr 07 - 01:42 PM I keep reading this thread in the hopes that Mooh-Man would simply come home and I could make fun of his sorry ass but this thing has turned into something a bit elongated for an appendix. Well, not the appendix itself although it could have been long or possibly missplaced. Hey, I ain't kidding here! We had one of our foster kids who had his appendix basically on the wrong side and was botched on the diagnosis and damn near died!!! Anything like that with you Mooh or are you simply screwing around in the hospital because its good for laughs? I mean it really is at times ya' know? Like when this homely-ass nurse asks "Are we ready for our bath?" Politely you say no but what you really mean is that you wouldn't bathe with her if your bodily ambience was so strong you'd knock a buzzard off a shitwagon. Well what the hell......Get well anyway............ Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: catspaw49 Date: 24 Apr 07 - 09:42 PM "Hi again from Mooh's wife, I am happy to report that I have brought him home today." Well that IS great news!!!!!Now go give him a bath. Word is he smells so bad he could knock a buzzard off a shitwagon! Didn't you read that somewhere too Peace? Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Bee Date: 25 Apr 07 - 07:24 AM Good to hear - now for a pampered recovery! My little Sis almost died of a ruptured appendix and subsequent peritonitis, so I take that little organ seriously. So, Mooh - no jumping on the bed! |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Peace Date: 25 Apr 07 - 10:17 AM "My little Sis almost died of a ruptured appendix and subsequent peritonitis, so I take that little organ seriously." OK. Now I'm confused. What was Mooh IN for. His appendix or his little organ? And I thought he was a guitar player!. Sheesh, this 'be nice' stuff is sure hard to do when yer not used to it. Yo, Spaw, word is it was worse than that. We talkin' bad, man, bbaadd. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Mooh Date: 25 Apr 07 - 10:48 AM You guys are the greatest! The surgical problem (and why it took three emerg visits to diagnose) was basically that the appendix wasn't where it was supposed to be, but much higher and sort of entangled in some intestine, some of which was removed with the appendix. Far from being routine, so neither will the recovery be routine. The bloating due to gas has diminished slightly (they wouldn't even put another patient in my semi-private room until the last day), but the weakness and lethargy continue. Times like these when I thank God for family and friends... Peace & Love, Mooh. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: black walnut Date: 25 Apr 07 - 10:56 AM Well as much as you should keep thanking God, I do hope that you will try to avoid such reasons for thanks in the future. Nice to hear your 'voice' here, Mooh. Welcome back!!! Remember the s n a i l ..... ~b.w. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Peace Date: 25 Apr 07 - 11:02 AM It is GREAT that you're back, Mooh. Really, truly. We were worried there for a bit. HEY, SPAW, he's OK. |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: catspaw49 Date: 25 Apr 07 - 12:48 PM Yeah..........Geez Mooh, in all seriousness, that's very similar to our one foster son and he had quite a time. I'm glad to hear you are actually on the mend! On the other hand the joke possibilities here are about endless........................... Spaw |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: katlaughing Date: 25 Apr 07 - 01:14 PM There's a little song we sing when things seem to be moving slowly: Sung VERY slowly: Have patience, have patience Don't be in such a hurry When you get impatient You only start to worry Remember, remember god (or the deity of your choice) has patience, too Think of all the times People have to wait for you! |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: black walnut Date: 07 May 07 - 07:45 AM I'll answer this. I saw Mooh yesterday. He was just sittin' there playing his mandolin when I arrived. He's looking pretty wonderful, but it's a slow journey to feeling wonderful. Keep on getting weller, Mooh! ~b.w. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Mooh Date: 07 May 07 - 08:54 AM Thanks folks! It's still day by day. This morning, as bright and warm as it is, is rough as I had a very uncomfortable night, but a nap later should help. In the meantime, I try to do some normal stuff like drying the dishes, dusting, correspondence, reading, greeting visitors, and as much playing as I can handle. Been staying mostly above the BS line on Mudcat, at least until I have better stamina. I guess I'm getting stronger every day, but it's slow progress. Digestion has improved along with my appetite so I don't miss the bit of intestine. I'm ready to give up the fart crown to those more capable too, (you know who you are, LOL). I really do wish there was a camera rolling a week ago when Cosmo The Other Dog responded to a fart with an incredulous and frightened look of "what the fuck was that?!", and then left the room. Man's best friend has his limits. Peace, Mooh. |

Subject: RE: BS: Mooh's latest adventure From: Bee Date: 07 May 07 - 10:54 AM Ha! Dogs are so easily scandalized. Our old girl used to fart loudly, then whirl around staring in astonishment at where her rear had been, as if to say "..the Hell?" |
