Though obviously Jacqui has a good home for the book, any chance somebody could list the titles of the songs on Mudcat? I'd be interested in the names--and I bet I'm not the only one.

I would, but for one thing, a friend of mine runs the local village post office, as soon as I got the address I packed it & took it round to him along with my ebay items outbound for Monday morn. so it's already gone.

I won't get the book for a few weeks, until my daughter comes to stay in July and brings that and anything else I need with her.

I will put the titles up when it gets here.

I don't claim to deserve the book more than anybody else--just interested in the titles of the songs----gives you a window into that time. Most of the songs, I would guess, are familiar to Mudcatters. It might be an interesting exercise for those of us who haven't seen the book to try to guess what might be in it. Obviously "Tipperary" "There's A Long Long Trail A-Winding", "Keep the Home Fires Burning" (I think), but also "Just A Song At Twilight". And what else? Hymns? Drinking songs? Patriotic songs? Which ones?

My song book arrived this morning. thank you, skipy. It is a treasure. All the words to songs I have only known as choruses. Maybe a Getaway workshop in this.
